Great course conditions
it's been weeks since it rained in the Bay Area the course was dry and was running fast you still need to keep the ball out the rough or you to lose it . I would recommend everyone to play Skywest right now in his current condition
Great Course
The course was a long awaited opportunity to play golf on a fairly decent course after months of rain. The course was in good condition but not what it can and will be in a few more weeks. The course isn't very challenging for those with lower handicaps, but great for everyday golfers. They have a gold tee box for those with handicaps 13-25, which makes the course a little shorter.
Monday
Course in good shape. Just off fairway and you get punished severely. The rough is extremely thick. Stay in fairway. Pace was ok for a Monday.
Check in policy.
Had a 12:30 Golf Now prepaid ttime. Arrived at 11:55 and tried to check in . Was told that I couldn’t check in until 12:22. Also only half the course was open due to greens work. This was not stated anywhere on golf now during the process of booking the ttime or during confirmation by the golf course. I tried to modify my reservation at 12:25 but of course Golf now would not allow the change or modification to the reservation.
Good time
The course was doing work on the front nine so you have to play the back twice it became real slow but that was to be expected the ambassador's / Marshalls are some of the greatest around if only some of the other local courses hat people like that represent in your course East Bay Golf would be in a better place
very good.the blue tee is very long, use white tee is better.
Beautiful Day To play
Course has dried out dramatically since last Monday. Lots of carry. Keep a good eye on the ball as it barries into heavy rough.
First day of blue skies
Course is damp. Fairway muddy water logged. Give it a couple days of drying out. Very well kept greens. Please repair your divots. Thank You
Bummer it's Cart Paths only! Need a hover craft!
A rainy February made it Cart Paths only day for my Friday morning tee off on the first day of March. For good reason there were plenty of muddy areas in the course that it would just destroy the fairways if you ran a golf cart through it. Bubba can I borrow your Hover craft? The ball is not rolling and the humidity leaves you with less distance on every club. Still a good day to be out. Greens were decent. Rangers were around to check for rule breakers. For the hot deal price I paid it was still a good deal!
Great Value Course
Skywest is simply a course you must play the value is fantastic the staff is really friendly in the layout is great I gave it to stars for overall condition and it's not the course fault in Northern California we had over 50 inchs of rain in the last 30 days there's no Golf Course course I can withstand that
Good Value
Course was in good condition. Happy there was a week of dry weather for the course to dry up some.
Do not recommend when grass is wet.
First time I played this course 2 days after rain. Very slushy. Wide fairways but due to wetness carts cannot go on the fairway. Balls get stick in mud even on fairway. If in the rough, I did not even bother to play due to wetness. I suggest that you avoid this course if wet. Call and ask if carts are allowed on the fairway. If not allowed due to wetness, it is pretty bad.
Second Time Skywest Air
Sending a message to those that want a fair test of golf: play Skywest. Having played here once twenty years ago this place was a wetter bog. With the rain approaching, it was dry and ball ran out well. Showed it’s character today as wind was down and dry conditions. Fast and firm. When it gets wetter and windy this place can get long. Driver wedge today.
Good job Skywest I really enjoyed course today. Good setup of pins.
So here’s the deal: it does not feel like an easy bay course. It feels like a Sacramento course. Good golf up there. And FYI, alameda south has little on this place. In case you wanted to save some dough that is...
Skywest Golf Course
I guess that because of the air pollution condition, there were very few people playing and we encountered no problems whatsoever with our course play. Except for a handful of greens, majority of the greens were in near perfect condition..
