Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course

Always love the layout at Chabot and got paired with 2 locals who were good golfers and better company.

It seems it is poorly maintained and too many holes crisscrossed making too many players yelling For.

Pace of play was great- 4hours on a Thursday morning. Greens were pretty smooth, although slow. Fairways were so-so. I like the new temporary clubhouse- it's nicer than the old clubhouse. Staff are friendly. No beverage cart out that day. Biggest complaint is the cart paths- it's like driving over a road that's been bombed out. Very jolting and can't be good for the carts. Otherwise had a great time.

Good value for $39 with a cart!

All straight holes, just keep it in the fairway.

Par 6 is crazy, just watch your speed on the switch back

First time playing this course and I will definitely be back. I enjoyed the different elevations for each hole, made the round more enjoyable and kept me involved. I truly enjoyed the par 6, 18th hole.

Hole 8 flag color was white should have been red.

Hole 10 flag was red should have been blue .

Group. Front of us didn't utilize fair way clear to lay. Never read signs at each of the two holes. We hit into them both times.

Very nice Muni Course I've played for several years. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens rolled very well and were in great shape for a Muni.

The views are tremendous. But the course is run down and the play level is poor. More beer drinkers than golfers, which is fine, but no idea how to keep pace. Cart paths were last replaced in the 1970s. Tee boxes akin to a DMZ. I want to like it but a 5.5 hour round is just a bummer.

Perfect time for fast game and golf shots testing. Best score ever for a high handicap, with 4 birdies on the round of 75. Love the course's challenge.
