About
Oak Mountain Championship Golf Course is a player-friendly layout that sprawls across rolling hills in Carrollton, about 30 miles west of Atlanta. The course is surrounded by a residential area but the holes still manage to feel secluded. The golf course has a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and gently sloping greens. It is gentle enough for the beginning player but it still has challenges in store for more experienced golfers. Strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greens and there are some subtle but tricky elevation changes. It's not the most formidable layout, but it's a good value for the price, especially since in addition to the golf course, there is a 30-tee, lighted driving range. For more advanced players, Oak Mountain is an affordable place to get some practice.

This course was fun to play
It was a rainy day but I was able to play 18 holes. I started on the back nine which was 45 and the front nine was 42 so it was good for me. I would play at the Oak Mountain
Very nice course
I have been wanting to play Oak Mountain for quite a while and finally got the chance and was not disappointed. The course was in very good shape, especially the greens. They putted great! My only complaint was the rough, especially around the greens. If you missed the green it could take several minutes to find your ball in the deep rough and when you did finally find it playing out of the deep rough was very difficult.
Greens were good, but.......
The greens were in great shape the but the fairways were in dire need of a good mowing plus there were many weeds in the fairways. I have played Oak Mountain several times this year and Saturday was not the best shape I've seen it in previously.
Driver Friendly with a few holes around the lake
Fun course to play, pace a play was good, love the layout, excellent value for the money.

as always in great shape only with one exception, couple holes the fairways had alot of weeds. Greens in great shape, best golf in west Ga. for the money!!
True Golf Experience
The has some good length. The rough was at a great height to punish if your not hitting the fairway. The greens have the undulations you would expect at a nice course. The sand traps have white sand with some great depth to make sand shot that willmake you dig deep. The fairways have some shots to challengeyour fade and draw.
It was a llittle far for me, but I will be back.

Great hot deal. Would go back and play very soon. Greens were super soft.
Pleasant surprise
Course not as long as on the card. Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Played in less than 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon (3 players). Wide open fairways, very few hazards. Enjoyable round of golf.

This course has great risk/rewards shots!
It rained hard a couple times, but we were able to get in our 18 holes. The course is well maintained - with generous fairways and well placed bunkers. It offers a moderate challenge to the skilled golfer, but not too difficult for the novice.

Well maintained fun course, and an excellent value
I played the course a day after it had rained. The greens were still recovering from aeration, and several of the holes on the front side were very soggy due to poor drainage. Overall, the course is in good condition, and well worth the green fees!
Pleasant Surprise
My son and I are playing different courses in the area and always heard positive reviews about this course. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the pace of play is great, and the course is challenging but fair. We plan to return when the conditions are better.

Restaurant has great food, but is often closed for special events even during the day. No other food is available and cart girls leave early. With a no outside cooler rule, it leaves no source of food or drink for afternoon rounds. Staff is very strict about tee times. Do not expect to tee off early, even if course is wide open. It is a great course for the money, just be aware of these problems.
