About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
You might become enraptured with Indian Palms' past. But the course itself has very much moved into the 21st century.
Each of the nines carries its own personality. The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes. The Royal nine features water on eight of its holes. (Yes, your break from water is one hole total).

Indian Palms Disappoints
A lack of interest shown at checking in. We had no idea where carts or a starter would be. Fairways and greens were in very poor condition. The Royal 9 extremely poor while the Indian 9 was actually quite good although for a 127 slope from the blacks to have 4 400 yard par 4s, two 200 yard par 3s and 1 520 yard par 5 was a surprise. This 9 was the highlight of the day. Greens were still rough tho.
Cart battery issues! Staff over whelmed !!!Indian 9 not so good!!The Royal had more character and al little better condition but not bad for the rates, but probably will not play again!
Awful condition
3 nines but they had us play the same 9 twice. Never seen this course in such bad condition. Really a shame as it has a nice layout.
Good Value
The course is in reasonable condition. The only BIG NEGATIVE is the golf cart fleet is terrible. Played several times last week and the carts did no make it 9 holes. Completely negates an enjoyable experience.
Nice Course!
The course is getting better every week. The challenge is getting a good golf cart. The carts are four years old and the batteries are running out. Do not be surprised if you use two carts to complete your round.
Having cart problems due to battery shortages... . not their fault but frustrating for golfers... our cart made it to the end but just...!
Affordable round…
I played a few times over the hot desert summer. Not great, but cheap and had the place to myself. I play often and golf is expensive this time of year. Course was in great shape and it didn’t break the bank. Starter was awesome. I’ll be back.
Indian Palms
This complex has three 9= hole courses. Played the Regal and Indian nines. The Mountain 9 is closed due to poor turf conditions and Covid issues. The layouts are enjoyable, but fairways are suffering due to grass loss. The greens are smooth and fast but are also missing some grass. With some grass growth, this will be a fun place to play 18.
Nice sunny day
The course needs a bit of TLC. It is frequently played and the stress is showing. Difficult to find a spot on the fairway that has fully grown grass.
