A pleasure to play
No tricked up holes. Good risk/reward options. Great greens! This is my second time playing and other than a delay in getting started (two early groups had issues) it was a perfect day. We still played in 4 hours but that easily could have been 3 1/2 has we not waited and waited on those same groups several times.
Soggy with crew cuts...
After several days of rain, the course was a bit soggy in spots, some overflow of water hazards, and a few cart path only holes. May have been the first day that week the crews could get out to cut roughs, fairways, and tee boxes. And the course needed it! Some mowers were kicking up rooster-tails of clippings. Understanding all that, the course was in pretty good shape. We had an early tee time, but a pair with a young boy hopped in front of us, which caused us to wait on several holes. There was a course marshal around, but we have to assume he did not realize they were slowing the pace of play with all their ball searching.
Not this time
Course was extremely wet, doesn't drain well. The greens were in excellent shape, jut don't judge them by the practice greens. The practice greens were a lot faster. Really didn't think the course was a good value due to all the water settling on the fairways, lot in the middle of the fairway. Played it several times before thought it was great, wouldn't play again after so much rain over the last week, wait until it dries out.
Nice course
Best staff of any course I’ve played the course marshal was very friendly and did a great job! Greens are in great shape very nice course for the money.
Worth the drive!
The Oaks is about 40 miles from my house, but 95% is Interstate so I was there in about 45 minutes. The course sits about two miles off of I-20 heading toward from Atlanta toward Augusta. The course has on old country club feel with many mature trees lining the fairways. Most holes that have a bend are shaped left to right. The greens were medium fast and rolled true. I found it challenging to read the nuances of some which is not typically a problem for me. The pace was excellent. The driving range and clubhouse are adequate. Nothing more is needed in my opinion. I will be back again.
Oaks hot deal
Greens in great shape! Grounds well maintained and manicured. staff friendly
Looking forward to playing agaun soon
Best value for the money.
The course was in excellent condition. Well manicured. The layout wasn’t over challenging. The greens were in great shape and fast. The course was crowded, but didn’t effect the pace of play.
Great Southern Hospitality
Really enjoyed our time playing. Course was in great shape for the time of year we played. Just wish the weather was a little better. Windy and cold
Good Course!
Good course for the price. The course was actually in better condition than some higher priced courses. The greens are always perfect!
Love the oaks
Course is always in great shape. The staff is very courteous. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Excellent course and always a blast
The course is always fun to play and the staff in the kitchen are awesome. My only complaint is not getting the time play to master this course. It’s simple yet difficult and every hole is a challenge.
Fun course
Not the longest or toughest course around but always fun to play. Good variety of holes and greens are in good shape. I will be playing again soon!
Practice and Play Not the Same
The course, overall, was in good condition for this time of year. Minimal sand traps, but the few they have are not friendly. Fairways are relatively open with several dog legs here and there. Nice practice areas. But the practice green is not like the greens on the course. On the practice side, was dropping 20-footers. Out on the course, missed 2-footers. Maybe that's why golf is a four-letter word?
Great value for the money
Course is in excellent shape
Pin placement good for birdies
New carts I think
Usb ports awesome
