fast greens and moderatly deep rough.
a fun layout that is moderatly difficult. i would say that the teeth of the course is the rough and a couple of lengthy par threes. for shorter hitters the fairways seem to be cut a good ways from the tee boxes. but play it forward and you should be ok.
Greens are gauranteed as advertised!
The nicest greens you'll find anywhere. Obvious management takes pride in their condition. No need to tee it forward as this is a shorter length track. Most seniors and and intermediate golfers will reach the green in two when playing from the white tees. Credit Bobby Jones with a nice job on the original design. This track is worth playing any chance you have. Excellent practice facility and instruction.

I haven't played everywhere but I can say the Oaks greens are absolutely perfect, fast and true. Beautiful! I think I saw maybe one or two houses but none on the course. Geographically undesirable ( 60 miles one way) but will definitely will play again! Owner and staff are real golf people, very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Kudos to the superintendent and his staff. Well Done!!

Challenging course with great greens.
I live in the area and this is one of my go-to courses. The course is always well maintained. They have a nice practice facility. As far as the course, you are always able to find decent twightlight hour deals. Once on course, the the fairways are well marked with yardage markers, and the fairways are always well maintained. The course greens are the facilities pride and joy. The greens typically roll fast, but very true with little bumps or unrepaired divots. I would recommend this course to friends as a course that has decent length and some very challenging holes.

No matter the weather patterns, The Oaks continues to be the most dependable, best kept and enjoyable to play course east of Atlanta. Greens are always in great shape! Nice course...!
