The Oaks Course

The staff, very good, the greens excellent, best course around.

Usually courses that far out from Atlanta are cow pastures. This course was far from that. The greens were in fantastic shape which is what I care about the most. People need to give this course more credit. The only downside would be the power lines, but that’s not a big deal.

I used to be a member here years ago. The greens are near perfection. The only reason I don’t give this course a perfect score is that the rough has quite a bit of “other” grass growing in it. This may resolve as the weather gets warmer and the Bermuda growing season has a chance to take over. I don’t remember that from before. Also that new church pew bunker on 5 is a travesty. It’s not visible from the tee and very punishing to a golfer that thinks he’s hit a drive in the left half of the fairway. It seems a bit tricked up. All of those baby oak trees have matured and the planting locations seem appropriate based on their size. I like the look of the course even more now that the trees have matured. All in all this course is a favorite of mine and when I get close enough to play it again I surely will.

The Cours was the Best we’ve seen this year no Complaints what’s so ever the green we’re so fast and well manicured it had all of us with alligator arms on our putting strokes if we could have went around twice we all would have did it again. I really enjoyed it very much even though I couldn’t come off the tee box had a lot of fun and well all be back very soon . I would rate this course in my top ten easily. Watch out Cherokee Run.

Had no idea what to expect and The Oaks was fantastic. Did not know that this course was designed by Bobby Jones. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Really enjoyed the round at The Oaks. Weather was perfect, sunny, low 80's, no wind. Course is in great shape! Greens were plush and true. Will be back!

Although I am a member of another cluster of courses, I play out at the oaks as well. I love the layout and championship Bermuda greens. Paired up with another single today and we had fun. The only issue was how ridiculously slow the group ahead of us was.

A group of four of us were in town for the Masters and of the three courses we played, this by four was the best in any price range. Despite the wet conditions during the week and the brief shower we had, course held up well and greens were in really good shape.

Staff were are professional and courteous and took great care of us. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Greens are in great shape. Definitely worth playing.

First time playing here in about 20 years. It won’t be that long until I’m back! Best greens around, fairways coming along and should be outstanding within a few weeks. Pace of play was great...played through 3 other groups as it was just me and another single. Finished in just over 3 hours. I will definitely be back...and soon!

Always enjoy coming here. As a single, got paired up with some great guys. The course was in great shape. The greens were fast and smooth. Some long carries from the blues on par 3s.

What a beautiful course. It has an "old soul." The holes are interesting, challenging, but fair. It is visually appealing. The greens today were immaculate--whomever is keeping them is earning their money! The Oaks has jumped into my top 5 favorite courses in Atlanta.

Course has it challenges that will help to improve your short game. But at the same time has opportunities to take risk on certain holes to challenge your long game. Making you play smart at times and risky at others times.

The course greens are excellent for this time of year. A well maintained facility.
