Loved The Oaks
First time heading out to the Oaks from Atlanta. Came to check out the course based on the awesome reviews I’d read. I wasn’t disappointed. As others have said, the putting greens are immaculate - probably the best I’ve seen, or at least for the price they charge.
The course itself was not overly long or challenging, but they made up for that with small-ish and very quick greens.
I’ll definitely be coming back!
Not as good as the reviews lead you to believe.
Pretty short and boring layout. Conditions were average to good. No beverage cart service or restrooms on the course. Only saw 2 water jugs. I can’t say it was bad but far from great. Reminded me of your average old municipal course. Good course to shoot a low score as most all the holes are the same(short, open and straight forward.) Not much elevation change or very many forced carries. Could nearly drive the green on several par 4s. Very slow play with no marshals. I ended up leaving after hole 16 because I was tired of waiting around for every shot. Definitely not worth the drive from Atlanta. There are several better courses in that area and I would recommend trying one of those if making the trek from Atlanta.
Best greens
One of my favorite Courses. The greens are always in fantastic shape and the staff could not be friendlier. It is truly a great value.
Just so nice
The greens are the best in the city .Also Marshals rode around with cold towels outstanding job
The Oaks Golf Course
The course is in excellent shape and deserves its 5 star ratings. Greens are perfect no ball marks and roll true. Fairways as well are in great shape. The rough could use a litte more attention but you’re not supposed to be there anyway ( smile). Great value for the money.
An unappreciated gem
Every single green was blemish free. The fairways are in very good condition. A nice golf course that I love to play when visiting the Atlanta area!
Great course
The Oaks is in great shape from tee to green. Greens are rolling well and you'll find a course whose staff pays attention to the details.
Great greens, but.......
there was absolutely NO water in the water coolers! On a 98* day, that is unacceptable! Some of the tee boxes required a ball peen hammer to get a tee in the ground. I understand it’s been hot and dry, but turn your sprinklers on and maybe aerate the tees. I usually love this course, but the lack of water and the tee box issue, mostly the fact that we were thirsting to death, made for a rather miserable day. Come on Oaks, you’re better than this!

The Course is In Great Shape the Best Greens I’ve played on this year tight fast true . All the fellas loved it also
