Great Greens
First timer at St. Mark and I will be back. For an executive course, well maintained property with great putting surfaces that receptive, fast and smooth.
Not worth it
I played this course several years ago and didn't like it very much. I heard that it was redone and a new club house was built and decided to try to again. The course is in terrible condition the staff was barely friendly and frankly I'd rather pay a little bit more and play anyone of the other beautiful courses in San Diego.
Great Short Course
One of the nicest executive courses I've played at. Great for beginners or anyone looking to get a quick round in. The food there was also very impressive. Highly recommend this course.
Very nice executive course with a few fun par 4 holes. Pace of play can be a bit slow. We had a group of 5 in front of us which you don't see that often. Great place to work on wedge and iron game though.
Little Gem
What a great executive course! Great greens, a nice walk and an incredible value. For barely more than the price of a large bucket, you can sharpen your short game and improve your fitness. Such a great course to walk. Highly recommend!
Poor Customer Service At Check In
Beware at this golf course they try to charge you more than your online agreement. Yesterday I had a tee time for 4 people, we arrived and went to pay, the person at the desk said it would be more than what was on my confirmation, unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me to prove my online agreement. Two employees argued with me about payment, ridiculously they were unable to bring up my confirmation on their computer. I knew I was correct so I had to go home and get my phone, meanwhile our tee time passed. When I had my phone and produced the agreement it turned out I was right. This was extremely poor customer service, we were treated rudely, never got an apology from the staff for them being wrong resulting in a huge inconvenience to my group and unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. The staff in general has a "could care less about the customer attitude" If I treated customers like this I wouldn't have a job!
We went on to have a very enjoyable round of golf, it was just too bad we had to begin with such an unnecessary hassle.
Best deal in town!!
The new owners of this course have so outdone themselves! It is in great shape and is an awesome little course for practice. The Tap Inn bar is beautiful and the people are so nice. It is my favorite place to practice my short game. Love it!!!
Love it!
I love this course because I'm a beginner and it's a par 3. Nice straight shots throughout the course.
One of the best executive courses I've played will definitely be back
Awesomeness
One of the best par 3 courses in San Diego!!! great layout ,greens were in excellent condition ! Will be coming back
Great Value for the Money and Nice location
We thought we would give this a try and were quite happy with the course, personnel and amenities. Only negative was the course was a bit wet, with water flowing down some drainage areas. Otherwise, we had a wonderful round of golf and no delays in front of us during the entire round.
I had a $5 hot dog which was excellent and included fries. Very nice place to eat!
Pace of play terrible
We teed off fine, but by the third hole caught up to a high school golf team fivesome. They were very slow and we hoped they would let us play through, they did not. We skipped the 5th hole to get by them and all was well until we made the turn. Driving up to the 10th tee there were two foursomes, one on the tee and one waiting. The group we were following was on the green. The course put two foursomes in front of us on the th tee. In disgust we drove ahead and finally found a hole open, the 16th. We played 16, 17 and 18 and went home having played only 11 holes. I understand the need to generate revenue, but not to the detriment of others, and, of course, we will never go back. There is absolutely no pace of play management on this course, and obviously the starter lets people jump in front of other players .... friends? Tips? Regular privilege? Bye, bye
very slow
While I love this course the pace of play is very slow. Etiquette a far as letting people thru is non-existent. There should be a course ranger to hurry people along. There are lots of old people on the course, although I am 80 years old myself, but I can go round walking in just over 2 hours. The attitude is "couldn't care less" about other players. There should be a course marshall to hurry people along or at least a notice reminding people of their
speed of play.
Yesterday it took 3 1/2 hours in perfect conditions.
This is a pace for a full 18 hole course, not for an Executive layout.
3 1/2 hours for a round ??? Disgusting and players don't even care. Should take no more than 2 hours.
I am 80 years old and can play this course, walking, in 2 hours. Marshals needed who will do their job and
remind players to move !!
