GREAT EXEC COURSE
I had not played this course in over 10 years... it is under new ownership and they have done great improvements. The greens are flawless.
Highly recommend!!!
Great for an executive course
Perfect for what it is. Can be finished in a timely manner and still have most of the day still left. Green, fairways & roughs are really good. Overall would recommend.
Awesome course!
St. Marks has done extensive work on their Executive Course and it shows! They have a really fun restaurant/bar called Tap In with great food and drinks. The course itself is a great place to brush up on your short game or just enjoy a beautiful walk while you swing the club. One of the best deals in golf!
Big OOPS
I used to live in the area and have golfed at both the courses before. They are nice. So when i saw the "hot deal" I bought for a few days out. On Moinday it was raining where i live and I called the course at 11. My tee time was 12:20. The guy I spoke to said the course was open and no rain although it had been on and off. I would have to use my Golf Now purchase or lose it. I drove the 40 minutes to the course and got there just before noon. It was not raining but was told they were closing at 2 PM. I could get nine holes in, they told me. While they gave be a rain check, I drove 40 minutes and then another 40 to get home for nothing. NOT A HAPPY GOLFER.
While i may use my rain check WITH "walking only" written on it. I think it will be the last time. (This was my mistake, I don't usually buy items without a cart. I didn't not see the disclaimer.). If you live close by and it it is sunny, the two courses are good. A tad over-priced, maybe. But don't trust the service at the executive course.
I'll Return
Pace was poor due to a young foursome in front of our twosome. They seemed confused, and maybe unappreciative of etiquette. Surely it doesn't happen often. Course was wondeful! Didn't lose a ball. Greens were full of small bumps that were a little irritating but did not prevent the ball from rolling generally true. Look forward to another round.
Golf
Always have a great time at st marks! Shorter course but very challenging greens and tough hole placements! Don't for get to bring 10$ cash Friday-Sunday for the hole 11 challenge!
Short game work!
Great course to work on your short irons but several par 4s allow you to stretch it out. Brought three friends for first time & they loved the course. There were areas so over watered, though, that you could lose a ball in the muck! Very friendly staff got us on the course immediately.
Play there often.
AWESOME Course!
I've played here probably 30+ times over the past 5 years. Watched them gut the place for the new facility, and it was a great place before, even better now. Golf simulator by the bar, decent food, good beer selection, nice amenities. Plus, one the most well-maintained courses I've ever played in the drought-stricken state of California. I can imagine this place would be RAD for a small tournament. GO PLAY HERE!
Lovely
Plush greens and nice full fairways. Beautiful fairways and helpful staff. A good short game test with several longer holes allowing driver.
Best course in the area!
I absolutely love this course and have made it my go-to course whenever I can play. I also try to recommend this course to everyone because it is clean and green. With the CA drought I am so happy that St. Marks still keeps the course looking amazing. The location, size and beauty of this course makes it ideal for any level in North County. Also, the price is fantastic. I love that I can book a tee time online and it shows me when the best rate of play is. Also golf carts are reasonably priced and the food is great! Never had a bad experience!
St. Marks Exec

Great fun for an executive course
This course is challenging but fair. My hubby recently had back surgery and is starting to get back in the swing of things. No pun intended. Lol. This course is fun and is a nice layout. It is a great way to play a 2 hr round of golf. We'll be back!
Good course to work on your game
Course has short holes for iron work and a few long one for practice driving. The rolling hill layout provides some challenging shots. Fast pace play make for short but fun play time.
Hot Deal Conflicted with Wedding Reception
Hot Deal advertised 18 hole rate with no caveats. Upon arrival I was advised a wedding reception was scheduled for the same time and golfers would be required to play the back-nine twice and stay away from the front nine. Apparently not much thought went into sequencing those starting on the back nine with those continuing their round as there was a significant back up (4 groups) on the 10th hole. I elected to forego playing as the delay/slow-play was unacceptable.
