love this course for a beginner like me
this course is great because it is easy for people who want to learn abd it's a great par3.
Always a good deal
If you don't have time for a full 18, a Lake San Marcos is the perfect alternative. It requires nearly every club in your bag (with two driveable par 4s). It's a lot of fun and about half the time of a full 18 at a quarter of the price.
great day on the course
We play here frequently. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Greens are in good shape as are the fairways. The cart paths definitely need some work but it looks like they are working on that also.
great course. great price
tee boxes are well maintained, staff is very friendly,, and the course is beautiful
This is a great Course always has afternoon tee times
I highly recommend this course. The Manager and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. The course is well manicured and has enough challenges to make it worth your while. The couple of PAR 4 holes are just enough to allow you to unleash the big guns and the PAR 3 holes allow you to really work your short game.
LSM South is one of my favorite Executive courses.
GREAT FUN
GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY AND THE OWNERS ARE DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE COURSE, CARTS AND CLUBHOUSE
Great value!
This is your typical exec. course. Nothing special except the great price!
Nice variety of holes for an execytive course. Plenty of large trees to provide good shade on hotter days.
Lots of good golf packed into inexpensive three hours
Needs some TLC
Nice greens, course needs a lot of TLC - poorly maintained tee boxes and fairways. This could be a really fun executive course if it were better maintained.
Ok value, but needs some repairs
I had played this course a few years ago, but couldn't recall the conditions. I've played full courses lately and have seen the spectrum of care.
This course needs some work. The tee boxes are absolutely horrible. Because so many people use them before the grass is able to grow, they are mostly large divots. Also, they are very small ... so sometimes you just had to hit out of the grass.
The cart paths were buckled in spots ... due to tree roots that have grown over the years - clearly. I walked and found it easier to just avoid the path.
The greens are in "ok" shape, but clearly there are people playing that have no idea as to how to repair ball marks (or even that they are supposed to do so). I spent much time repairing the marks of others while waiting for the group in front of us.
The guy at the counter was "ok," certainly not as warm and friendly as the staff at St. Mark just around the corner. I was hoping the smaller club would be cozier.
It's a fair course, but definitely not one I intend to play soon - Reidy Creek is FAR better maintained and about the same price. It's shorter, but at least it has a rating for use in my handicap.
This course is a perfect place to play and practice skills.
This course has a lot of shade trees. There are quite a few sand traps. Due to time, I only golfed the front nine. One hole is 240+ yards. From the tee, you are unable to see the flag. It was a fun course to play and much cooler than courses more inland.
Great course, four par 4's so it's a little longer than most executive courses.
Great little executive course with four par 4's and just enough variation to their holes. Not in pristine condition but definitely worth the cheap price to play.
Not enough bang for the buck
I kinda like this course but for the price I would rather play a different par 3 course like tecolote
Needs Signage For layout on the scorecard and at the tee box.
Not bad overall ,but cart paths are a wreck and fairways are lean.
Sad,sad,sad.........
Had not played this course in many years. Use to really enjoy it. This executive course has the potential for greatness but it is so poorly maintained that, at present, it's not worth a plum cent.
Prepaid foursome tee time for noon. Arrived early to discover that a tournament was going off almost immediately. Had to rush to get on course before the tournament. Even skipped first hole. That's not the way to begin any golf game. Scheduling needs to be addressed.
The golf cart path here has always been treacherous, now it is dangerous. Pot holes, cracks and loose gravel make attention to navigation imperative. Yet, you are supposed to keep cart on path at all times.
There is enough broken tees and debris on Tee Box ( all two of them) to build a wooden ship. Footing is precarious. Can't get a good stance between the bare ground and sparse grass. Fairways also brown with bare spots. The greens are well kept. Over hanging trees need trimming.
The initial course set up and convenient North County location give this executive course the keys to being a favorite of the locals but in current condition the outlook is bleak.
Great par 3 course
I play this course regularely. It is a great course for tunning-up your short game. It also has 3-4 short par 4's. Great course for the price. Great deals found on golfnow (under $10/round).
One of the best Exec courses in north San Diego county
This is one of the most challenging exec courses in the county. It provides three opportunities to use a driver or fairway wood. The fairways are somewhat narrow and thus challenging.
great greens
'Course is getting back to where it use to be. Fairways need
more attention. I always have fun and enjoy playing here.
Has 4 par 4's which is nice for an executive course.
The greens are in decent shape, but fairways, what few there are, are not so good. Overall, for the price, this is a great value and that is why we play there. With coupons, we paid $5. each green fee's plus $10/person for the cart. You can't beat that!!
very nice greens, fairways and cart paths need attention
All of the green were maintained very well.
the fairways varied from good to flat dirt which the ball does not play well off of.
the cart paths were very rough to drive on, if you had a soda in your drink holder you should expect to have it spilling in a lot of areas.
there were several foursomes that were playing extremely slow with no marshall in sight to speed them along.
