Great day at St. Mark's!
Wonderful staff, beautiful day. Walkable, but we chose to ride... all other golfers on the course were super nice, friendly - good course if you're a beginner/intermediate looking to get comfortable.
This course is worth it
The course is good for beginning golf ears to learn how to play. It's a challenging but not too difficult. Overall a great experience
fast play wednesday
I played for $6.50 through the tee time deal here. The course was relatively empty and in good condition. Playing here during the week is a great place to work on irons as you can play more than one ball/ extra practice if no one is behind you
Nice executive course
Excellent course for quick game. Some greens could use some work. Overall well taken care.of.
Great exec course
A fine , par 58 executive course in good condition.
St. Mark's new owners
The new owners are terrific and have made such a difference! New carts, new golf paths, new sand traps and they are watering with well water. Hopefully they will fix the drainage problem at the 4th putting green. It is a disaster! Floods everything when it rains!
pleasant surprise
greens were in good shape.... tee boxes need some serious work. walked the course and enjoyed the round. for the $$ this is the best deal in north county. played in about 2 hours with minimal waiting. the 4 par 4's are a nice break from the short par 3's. the uphill 8th says 161 yards but plays more like 185. almost got hit twice on the 16th by the group teeing off on the par 4 18th.... at least they yelled fore! good for practicing your short irons and putting.
The best excecutive golf course in N. S.D. County
The course conditions have improved 100% as the new ownership is making great strides in the quality of play and the comfort of the golfer.
Always fun for practice
I always enjoy coming out to St. Marks exec. It's pretty well maintained and there is plenty of variety to keep your short game tuned up. I would have gave another star for course condition but the tee boxes were in pretty poor shape. I do understand it's hard to keep them up on a short course though. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to get out for a little more than a pitch and putt, but does not have time for a full course. You even can get out your driver a couple of times if you like.
Needs a Marshal on course
St. Marks is an excellent executive golf course.
Fast greens, true sand traps. The only problem is they never have a marshall on course. Play can be very slow. They should also inform golfers of on going tournaments like yesterday. Normal play is about 2.5 hours. Yesterday almost 3.5 hours.
A great little course, excellent for beginners
This is a great little course, especially for beginners who don't need to spend $50 - $100 on a round while learning the game. All of the more experienced players are super friendly and helpful, with the exception of one annoying group ahead of us that slowed down the pace of play (they played as a six-some, so they took forever on the greens).
If you go out early, you can play 18, walking, in less than 3 hours, which is also nice. The greens can be very, very fast in the morning, especially just after they are cut. You want to stay below the holes to score well on this course. But, the greens are nice and big and there are only a very few places where an errant shot gets you in deep trouble.
Played it for my first time and then 4 more times this week
The course is super fun for an exec, and not as vanilla as the others around. Has fun challenges like doglegs, trees, elevated greens, water, fast and big breaking greens.
The staff is awesome and flexible... I'm always late and they take care of me.
It's so inexpensive I can play all the time
My new favorite course!
Nice
Nice course, but there are yardage information at the tee of each hole.
great little course
Fast pace fun little course. Great Value nice staff
This course has a little of every thing, got to use all my clubs.
For an Executive course this course has it all. Used all my clubs. Price was right. Online purchase, great deal.
Short but interesting, with decent greens
When I want a quick round, this is a good option. The greens are in decent shape and have plenty of challenging undulations. Most holes are short, but there are a couple where you can pull out a driver, if you dare. Lots of trees make it a nice shady setting. It's typically uncrowded, so no problem if you play a couple balls and even take some extra practice putts on the greens. Better than hitting a bucket of balls at the range, for about the same price.
Very fun course
We had a great time! Very fun and well taken care of course
Quick an Easy
I've played this course a couple times. The greens are always that great but if you want to play a quick and Easy course it's great.
The course is in excellent condition
Great course to improve your short game. 3 of the 4 PAR 4's are challenging and fun. Long drivers have an opportunity for an Eagle on 18.
