Surprised!
After the difficult winter and the aparently, horrendous, draining logistics around los Positas, I was pleasantly surprised by the playability, and the excellent condition, other tees and greens. I will be back👍👌🏌🏿♀️⛳️🇺🇸
Extremely slow pace of play
Rather play Dublin Ranch as there are marshals that will speed up the group that is running slow. I saw just one marshall driving around during the entire 18. It took over 5.5 hours to finish. Not recommended and will not be coming back.
The course condition is worsening unfortunately
It’s worse experience than when I played a year ago. It looks like not getting well maintained. The fairway has many mud/water spots that are extremely dirty. There is almost no sand in many of the bunkers. Green is generally in okay condition. It’s a fun course to play but sad to see it is going down. It’s fixable but not addressed properly.
Nice course but conditions could be better
Got on as a Golfnow hot deal so the green fees were low. Had a little bit of tropical storm Hillary blowing around so there was leaves all over a few greens. Fairways were okay. Bunkers need some work. Pace of play for our afternoon start was great. Got done in less than 3 hours and 15 mins. For me this is a once a year golf course due to conditions and distance from home.
Needs work…there are better options
The course is expensive to play on for what it offers… the fairways are chewed up. The greens mostly ok. Not the value for the money… cart fees of $19 is steep…wouldn’t recommend although the staff seems to be trying. I got to finish a 3 hour round though… there was hardly anyone on the course at my 3 pm tee time
It’s a joke how much they charge
If this course was $40 sure I would play it and enjoy it. But for their price point and the condition the course is always in, there are 3 other golf courses in the area for similar prices that are worth the money. Tee boxes aren’t level and are torn to shreds, fairways are either dirt or mud. Bunkers are rocks, greens are actually okay. Save your money play somewhere else.
Lousy Marshall’s
The pace. Of play was horrific. While the Marshalls kind of did their jobs, they didn’t solve the problem. 1 group was 3 holes behind and yet the Marshalls didn’t hold them up so other groups to play through nor did they force them to skip holes.
Course is in terrbile condition!
The course was in terrible condition, and the pace of play was at an all-time low.
It seems they never repaired anything after the floods, almost as if they are letting the course go!
Taking this location off my course list! Never playing it again until they put in some work.
6hr rounds
Took us 3hrs to play 9. At the turn we told the Marshal that the group infront of us were behind and he said “6hr rounds are normal if you don’t like it don’t play”
Great layout, price and conditions
Great Classic Muni
This Muni course is a great addition to all the amazing courses in the Tri-Valley!!!
Las Positas deserves a special shout out because I had an awesome time at the course today and the greens were in amazingly good shape.
Shout out to everyone in the clubhouse, Beebs & most importantly the grounds crew!!!
EXPENSIVE MUNI COURSE
Fairways Tee boxes horrible condition for $65 Muni course senior
Really.
This is a $35 course afternoon rate
Food and Staff are polite. Its not on them.
They need a greens keeper
At $65 a round they can hire Wente’s
Skip It
The course was hit hard by the March rains. While lots have been done, still a major work in progress. Many fairways are cow pastures. Not sure why there are not watering??. The sand traps are a mess. Lots of standing water that looks toxic. No ball washers. No water to drink on the course. Walking carts all have broken straps with no velcro to secure your bag to the cart.
At current pricing ridiculous. Go elsewhere!
