Roosevelt Municipal Golf Course

The pace of play on the weekend was sooooo slow we waited so long on every hole,… had a Korean family in front of us literally learning how to play on the course, the old Korean man I was playing with shouted something in Korean to the father in front of us which I didn’t understand, and the other guy and him almost got into a fistfight, it was horrible horrible… not why I play golf

People learning how to play golf should stick to the driving range. This course needs to do way better.

Great walking course with awesome views of Griffith Park

Beautiful setting and except for poorly maintained tee boxes, the course was in reasonable condition. Unfortunately this course starts fivesomes every 10 minutes. At some tees we were third in line and waited 15-20 minutes. Ridiculous course management. If you can get over all of that, the Griffith Park setting is fantastic and the greens fees are cheap.

Easy to get a tee time and great walking course. Able to use all clubs in bag. Also, Franklin’s cafe has a great selection of coffee and food!

Like the tight fairways and surrounding natural feel

Fairways full of old divots. Greens very bumpy with ball marks everywhere. Tee boxes were redone several years back and they are now under repair again? Don't even think about hitting out of the sand traps. At this point they are just traps.

Roosevelt Golf Course is a hidden gem nestled at the base of Griffith Park’s hiking trails in Los Angeles. The course is at a great location with great views and challenging layouts. I imagine the course had become a lot more crowded after covid when I first played there. The T boxes and greens are therefore in a lot worse shape than before. The manager also tried his best to bring up the pace of play, but it was just too crowded. Need some upkeep and reduce the number of tee times.

I got a 4:30 tee time and I don't know if I missed somewhere on the website where it says that the carts rentals stop at 3:00 pm.

Also, the groups timing are too close, you have to wait in most of the holes for a while.
