Roosevelt Municipal Golf Course

A little rain wrecks havoc. They run fivesomes 10 mins apart all day.

This track gets used hard and the facility team is LAZY AND UNMOTIVATED...dead trees fallen, open hazards in disrepair for months. Grassless deadpan area in fro t of the finishing hole 9 and in too many other places. A shame, LA residents deserve better. It could be very nice. Great bones great potential. Due to high usage it requires lots more attention.

Sometimes you'll see amazing deer and coyotes, which is cool.

5 players per group and difficult parking are areas of weakness. Waited at several holes for 1 -2 groups 6 out of 9 holes. Frustrated people behind us would hit up into us.

I would play here again but on a less busy (weekday) day and confirm no more than 4 in a group.

from one hole. Short course but fun with the dog legs.

im barely starting my golf journey and the staff made me feel confident and very kind.

I really enjoy the layout of Roosevelt. It has a lot of character, a good mix of challenging holes and beautiful views of the city. My biggest issue is they send out groups of 5. I even saw a group of 6. It really slows down the pace of play. It will often take 3+ hours to play 9 holes. I wish they would do groups of 4 like everywhere else.

Absolutely loved playing this course! Stunning scenery and a challenging yet still extremely fun layout. This is quite a difficulty increase from Penmar, but I still had a blast playing it. Only ball I lost was over the hill on 6 - though I blasted it up the uphill fairway so I’m unsure where it went. Fairways, greens, and tee boxes all in great condition.

Lovely views and well maintained fairways and greens. Can’t really ask for much more here except maybe an increase in pace of play just slightly.

For the price and ease of getting a tee time, this is one of the better walking courses in LA. Can use all 14 clubs in the bag.

The pace of play on the weekend was sooooo slow we waited so long on every hole,… had a Korean family in front of us literally learning how to play on the course, the old Korean man I was playing with shouted something in Korean to the father in front of us which I didn’t understand, and the other guy and him almost got into a fistfight, it was horrible horrible… not why I play golf

People learning how to play golf should stick to the driving range. This course needs to do way better.

Great walking course with awesome views of Griffith Park

Beautiful setting and except for poorly maintained tee boxes, the course was in reasonable condition. Unfortunately this course starts fivesomes every 10 minutes. At some tees we were third in line and waited 15-20 minutes. Ridiculous course management. If you can get over all of that, the Griffith Park setting is fantastic and the greens fees are cheap.

Easy to get a tee time and great walking course. Able to use all clubs in bag. Also, Franklin’s cafe has a great selection of coffee and food!
