Roosevelt Municipal Golf Course

Screw this place. This could be really great if they got their course management figured out. We teed off at 330, we're through 5 at 545.... 3-4 groups on every tee box and 5-somes galore. If you're actually decent at golf, don't even bother. You will be so frustrated with how slow this is. We told the starter and his response was "I don't even play golf so I don't care". He said "5-somes are normal and you have to let them out. This is a normal thing here". Uh no you don't? You obviously only care about a buck. And for you golfer, You're better off at other LA courses.

It’s a muni. Doesn’t excuse the beginners ahead of us and ahead of them making a nine hole course take three hours to play. Please have some course etiquette and move along. The course is beautiful and in good shape. I would play it again.

The course itself is great, with beautiful views of downtown and gryffith observatory. With that said, the pace of play is HORRIBLE. I have never played a course where they have groups of 5 tee off. Also, it's a walking course ONLY, which is a recipe for disaster.

Tee time was at 440. Two five-somes ahead. I did not tee off until 5. No Marshall pushing pace of play. People are playing 3-4 balls and hopping holes. Hole 6 was backed up 3 groups of 5. Only got through 6 holes before sun went down. Nice course, needs smaller groups and someone making sure people are playing quicker.

The course is on historic land. It's a really special place to golf. I love the challenges the course offers and I play it often. The cafe is tremendous with a wonderful variety of goodies. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE STOP BOOKIES GROUPS OF 5! It's not just a Memorial Day weekend thing. It's every time I play there. 9 holes shouldn't be a 2 1/2 to 3 hour round.

Bring plenty of balls if you’re not a great golfer. You WILL lose a few… narrow drives make for it easy to lose balls… along with all the rubbish…

Have played this course multiple times. If you can get on during the week, it’s fine but on the weekends forget it. I won’t be playing the course again unless desperate and never on the weekend.

Pace of play was insane - took 3.5 hours for 9 holes. Group Inc from t of us was dropping slurs and group behind us wasn’t wearing shoes - legit barefoot.

No need to come back. Would much rather play a ton of other courses in La area.

The course condition is good, however the green is currently being aerated. Other than that everything is good. In a couple week thing should be great.
