Montebello CC Needs Your Help!
It is obvious that Montebello CC will not make any efforts to grow grass where it’s needed on the fairways, pour sand to fill up the bunkers, mow the rough on the tee boxes, or open the restrooms on the course. The only plus are the medium fast greens and most of time your ball landing in the bunkers will roll out of them. With this situation I only ask my fellow golfers to please please fix at least 2 divots in every green you walk in. The greens are our last hope. At least you the paying customer golfer will make a difference.
Staff Bad, Course terrible, Don’t be fooled by the pics!!
Where to start. You walk into an empty building with a register where we paid but couldn’t use cash weird. The guy running the register was such a dud and pretty much couldn’t answer any questions we had then forced us to play an hour earlier then our reservation. The place looks like it’s getting ready to close permanently!!
Course was terrible grass wasn’t well maintained and the course wasn’t very beautiful in general. Don’t let the pictures fool you go elsewhere!!!

What has happened
Been playing this track for last 15 years. It has been completely neglected. Greens are ok everthing else is apocalyptic

Montebello GC
Before the nines were reversed this course was majestic. Now there are no sand in the bunkers, fairways that will become like the Links at Victoria. About 1/4 of all fairways you may end up with some grass, and most of the tees are longer than the rough.

This place is a dump
Most of the fairways have wide areas of just dirt -- a cow pasture would have been better.
We had to wait for carts because they don't have enough.
Some of the staff is surly and condescending.
The range is a joke. I had to wait a half-hour for a warm-up bucket because the guy who runs the shack is the same guy who drives the ball picker. So I had to wait until he was done before I could warm-up.
We won't be coming back for a while.

Awful fairways
Fairways are terrible dirt all over .. no grass anywhere !! Have really let course go it’s shame. ..
