CHEAP BEER AND PUNCHED GREENS!
Pros: Cheap beers ($5), decent food, friendly staff.
Cons: Greens had just been punched, putting greens closed, no range.
All in all I don't think $36 to play 18 on a gorgeous Saturday is bad at all, but if you despise punched greens, try this place in a few weeks. I treated it as a practice round once I got to green #1.
Fun but fairways in bad shape
Fun layout. Greens will be good in a week but the fairways are in really bad shape. Front 9 is in much worse shape than the back 9, which is cool with 4 holes that have water around them.

Great conditions, layout and course.
This place is always unavailable and I see why. It's a great course. The conditions are always great and the course is challenging enough to always give me a different game result.
Course was well kept and provided nice challenges enjoyed playing. Will play it again
Bad Condition
I’ve played here before and the course has never been this bad. It’s sad when you hit a niece drive right down the middle and you land on dirt. This happened all day. The course is in really bad condition.

Montebello Golf Course
Course has potential but the following needs addressing:
1. Sand traps are mostly in poor shape. Little to know sand. Recommend playing them Asner ground under repair.
2. Grass needs to be better maintained. Fairways and rough have gaps in grass. In one case a trap had been flooded and the sand has moved onto the fairway.
3. Driving range is no open for pre-round warm up in the mornings.

They pack the back 9
The most ridiculous thing they do is putting groups on their back nine, so if you’re on the front nine continuing, a group can go ahead and now you’re behind on your course. That is not smart, and it doesn’t allow those who pay full price to finish. Makes zero sense! Never coming back! Plenty of courses who respects those who pay full price.
