Booked an earlier tee-time (6:30AM), staff let me go whenever I was ready. I did book with Golfpass and it said my fee would be $55 with a cart but I ended up paying $77.

Conditions were foggy and wet, I had never played in these conditions before but its not unusual given the climate of Monterey in the mornings. The tee boxes were well kept. The only down side was the greens were freshly aerated*. I did feel it affected my putting but its a necessary to keep the grass nice.

Front 9 was good, and well laid out. Given my tendency to slice, I had to be careful not to hit any houses. Thankfully the tall eucalyptus trees saved me from a mishit.

Back 9 is amazing even in the fog. The conditions force you to hit accurately or else you are going to lose your ball. It felt like I was the only cart player and all the walkers allowed me to play ahead. Beware the deer on the course, they are all over the place so try not to hit them.

Overall, the course is great and worth the money. Many of the locals like to play the back 9 so the pace might slow down but it gives you time to take in the views when the fog clears up.

Women’s bathroom needs more regular attention,

heavy use should not be ignored, especially in the afternoon. Course was in good shape, greens are difficult. Views on back nine are stunning.

Enjoy this course, we have played it many times over the years, usually as a Hot Deal. This time the gentleman in the pro shop, when asked if the last few holes would be in the dark, said basically that’s what you get when you pay a cheap green fee. Wow, nothing like putting a retired golfer on a fixed income in their place. Pretty disappointed in that interaction. Be aware, a Hot Deal comes with a label.

I could have played better. Greens were really fast, made me sweat a few 3 footers. Used just about every club in the bag

Love this local seaside links course! Front 9 runs through the park. Back 9 is oceanside. Plays much longer than posted due to the elements ( wind, temperature and dunes). So fun!!!

When it's over 85 dgrees inland, we head for the ocean!

A great experience but 5-some really slowed pace of play.

My first time at Del Monte. Everything was perfect from check in to finish. The T’s, fairways and bunkers were perfect. It was rough for a 18 handicapper; but I did ok

Very good course nice layout great views and good greens and fairways my overall opinion would be its worth the price and above average public course recommended

Good layout. Pace of play was good, I was able to finish the round unless than 4 hrs, despite playing behind a walking threesome. Back 9 is adorable despite being challenging. I got more than the worth my drive from Bay Area just to play there.

Excellent value with back 9 offering great views of the ocean.

Course layout was fun and views were beautiful, pace of play was tough, waiting on each hole after the first, did not see a Marshall out there.

Course is not well maintained. Fantastic location so...they have quite the monopoly.

5 hour round. Sixsomes, folks going off the back who were not in the rotation on the front, a twosome with a child holding up foursomes., etc.

Called proshop to inquire if this is standard fare for the course and they confirmed it is.

Cant imagine paying the rack rate for such an experience.

Ppl always say the back 9 is great but the front 9 wasnt bad, you still get ocean view but its further away and you are surrounded by more houses. If you slice alot, maybe not the course for you. Pace is slow, alot of retired folks playing. Also random ppl hop on the back 9 for free through the side parking asking to join us and that wasnt a good experience.

Very nice public course. Good condition on fairway and greens. A very natural friendly course with a lot of animals like deers around.
