One of "those" marshalls
I've been fortunate enough to only have dealt with two unpleasant marshalls in my 20 years as a golfer, and unfortunately one of them was here - some guy named Mike. Long story short my foursome (two unrelated 2-somes) followed a threesome scramble (average players). Mike came up to us after we tee'ed off on the 8th hole and told us to speed up. AND AGAIN after waiting to tee off on #10 the marshall meets us on the 11th tee and tells us he'll kick us out if we don't pick up pace of play. Excuse me?
Pace of play is super important but we were on pace for a 4:10 round, so threatening us was unacceptable. Ruined the rest of the round.
Mean staff
I enjoyed playing at the Hansem Dam Golf Course; however, the employee who manages the golf carts conflicted with my opinion of coming back. His aggression towards customers can be handled more appropriately.
Forgot how much I liked this place
Since getting a regular tee time is so tough here. I was stoked to find a hot deal on the 4th of July. Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling fairly nice. I would love if they were a touch faster but it was still super fun. Love they layout. Great mixture of down hill and up hill and fairly flat holes. Wish tee times were more available here but it’s an LA city course. It gets lots of play. Take advantage if you find an early time on GN.
Fun place to play
This is a fun course to play. It has both very hard holes and some easy ones. The greens run a little fast. The course overall was in great condition and the pace was really good.
Fun and forgiving
The course is wide and forgiving. Good for higher handicap players learning their clubs. Still presents challenges from the back tees for mid handicap players. Fun layout, larger course at 6600 yards. Course maintenance is definitely on the better side for a city course. Overall great place to play. Be forewarned Hard to get tee times and pace can be slow due to new golfers being frequent.
Course is in good shape
The course is in good shape and the greens are in excellent shape and running fast. The layout is very friendly and if your in the fairway you have a great lie also the ruff is not to bad to come out of. All in all a very fun course to play.
