I Recommend This Course
Very good muni
In the past I’ve shied away from Hansen Dam mostly due to hole 10 which plays across a steep valley. Today I hit driver and birdied it. The fairways tees and greens were in very good condition especially considering the amount of play. The bunkers were raked. We played in 4 hours. The value is excellent. Recommended.

With California feeling the affects of a long term drought golf courses like Hansen have figured out ways to water enough to keep fairways and greens very playable.

Typical LA Municipal Course
Second time playing the course. It has a nice layout with pretty wide fairways. Course was in better shape a couple months ago. This time around most of the tee boxes were torn up and really need to be moved and allowed to recover. Also greens must have been aerated not to long ago as they were bumpy and sandy, but that shouldn't be an issue for much longer. Overall nice round and finished in about 4.5 hours on a Sunday.
