The Vineyard at Escondido

The course layout is fun but the course is in terrible conditions. The greens are super bumpy, the fairways are dirt , bunkers are concrete, and some of the tee boxes have little to no grass. I wouldn’t spend what I spent at this course again.

Very good track very demanding if you're not hitting the ball well a few patchy spots in the fairway is the other than that very good course

7 Handicap.

Great breeze that helped us keep comfortable in the 90 degree day. Course very challenging for the average player…. We played as a twosome behind two foursomes in 4 1/2 hours. Course was very dry, but playable considering the drought conditions in southern CA.

Most of the staff was really nice. The layout of the course is great but it’s in terrible shape. The teeboxes fairways are hurting. I guess the value is decent for the money but I’ll pay a little bit more for a course in better shape.

I like the course and the layout. I played from the White tees and was able to score well. the only gripes i have are the bunkers, which are like concrete, the greens, which are a little too slow and I did not see any rest rooms on the course. Overall, I'd recommend the course.

Staff is friendly, but needs someone to pay more attention to tee times. Course was backed up with no marshal in site. Staff was sending people out with hardly no lag time In between. There’s no excuse for a 5 1/2 hr. Round. Had to wait on every hole. Course bunkers were horrible. Fairways were dry!! This was one of my favorite courses.

Bad fairways with large dirt areas especially 9. Bunkers mostly gravel. Greens were hairy. Poor tees. Penal course with water, hazards and ob in play on most holes. Bad combination with poor course conditions. Terrible value.

I enjoyed the entire day. The course was nice, the people were friendly, and the price was right. Definitely going back!!

Fairways had lots of dirt patches. Bunkers were mostly gravel. Tees weren’t mowed well—grass was too long. Greens were hairy and bumpy. Course is narrow and penal with water, bunkers and ob in play on many holes. Not acceptable with such poor conditions.

One of the hottest days of the summer and no beverage cart...not acceptable!

Good course design. Nice greens that hold good approach shots. But there are large bare areas on the fairways and the bunkers are the worst I’ve ever seen. There is no sand in them; they are hard dirt. I won’t be playing this course again until I hear that they have put some sand in their bunkers.
