Lake Spivey Golf Club

Not a bad course in my opinion. Similar value as other courses in the area but I prefer playing here.

Unfortunately the course was in poor shape. I’ve played here many times in the past but the greens are weedy and very long. Like putting on your backyard. It looked like they hadn’t cut the rough, fairways, or greens in a week so it was very frustrating, especially trying to putt. They were way to slow. Too many courses around in better condition to come back to Lake Spivey.

Friendly staff, very professional. Fairways are good, but the greens were like putting on velcro. Hopefully is a work in progress. Everything else is falling in place

Enjoyed playing the course, interesting layout. The food and staff of the clubhouse restaurant was Great. The manager of the restaurant was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The staff in the clubhouse was great also

Me and my group are not great golfers. Yes the greens were bad - but - didn’t matter to us as much as it might to a serious player. We loved the layout and elevation changes. It was a challenging course. Lots of hazards, bends, and pretty scenery. I left about half a dozen brand new balls out there for y’all to find. The cart paths are downright dangerous ….. so be careful!

Visiting Atlanta and would absolutely go back to play here again when back in town.

The greens were in terrible shape. Outside of mother nature seems like they had not been watered in a while. It was the 4th so taking that into account I gave them some grace but 5.5 hours is tough. 1 player shot in the 80's and other 3 low 90's so we were not the problem. And the bar, lounge area looks great bit it was not opened. I think they are short staffed. TBH would not play until greens are in better shape.

First time playing this course in a while. We were a twosome and the first slow group we caught on the third hole allowed us to play through. No such courtesy for the next group that we followed for the rest of what turned out to be a five and a half hour round. Oh, that we didn't get to finish because lightning and rain arrived on hole seventeen. If they had allowed us to play through we could have finished much earlier and missed the bad weather. No Marshal so no help there. Greens were in pretty bad shape and the club house was empty of merchandise. Not a good look.

This course has so much potential, it had me wanting to buy it and fix it up. The layout is great, there are some very cool holes, however the greens are very poor. They need to be cut and rolled 5x. This course sits in the middle of a very nice neighborhood but the quality doesn’t match the homes. I enjoyed my round as the course was relatively empty, but the greens are very disappointing. Dead spots, hairy, chunks of ground missing. Staff was very friendly. This is a good course for a casual round with some buddies, but not if you’re trying to shoot your best round.

First timer here booked for Father’s Day. The staff were nice and the course layout was decent however the grass was hard and rough. It was so rough that it was hard to stick the tee. Even if your ball lands on the fairway, it was like hitting out of dirt. The green was a little rough. Overall it was ok but I don’t think I will be back.

When they get the greens right this a great layout. Two very different 9s. Really fun course... we played two putt max as the greens are that bad and inconsistent.

Love Lake Spivey, highly recommended! Pace of play is outstanding, the layout is a good challenge for all levels of golfers. Staff is outstanding.
