Love this course. Maintained well, decent layout, awesome instruction if needed, would play again for sure.

I booked the tee time well in advance! The day before we were to play , we were notified of punching the greens and sanding them. Too late to cancel because we were on a golf trip, playing a number of courses. VERY disappointed. The course would not work with us on a better fee. Golf now should have known and probably lost a customer! Rude staff!

Almost always a pleasure playing Rooster Run. Nice open course with enough tough stuff to make it challenging for the amateur golfer. Good tee times are usually available during the week. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cafe is what one would expect, which is fine. One of my group's favorite go-to courses in our neck of the woods.

I've played rooster run many times and I've always thought it was just ok. Not bad but not great. Don't mind making the 30 minute drive to change it up. First off the course was in pretty good shape. My review would be better if the greens were good. The greens are nice and soft and the ball sticks but when you putt the ball bounces and takes unexpected turns which totally sucks when you depend on putting for your score. The rest of the course was pretty good, a few holes were a little wet but playable. Overall it's not bad but if the greens were better and you didn't have to try and dodge the wind it would be a great course. The back 9 is definitely better than the front.

Rooster Run is perhaps the best overall golf value in the Bay Area. We played with a cart for a twilight (4 PM) rate of $29. From the black tees, this is a strong test. Well laid out, fairways and greens in very good condition, some very interesting holes intertwined with other very solid holes. Always breezy, with a typical NW wind always making things more challenging. Gorgeous panoramic views of the mountains to the east. Overall, we always enjoy RR a ton.

Great bang for the buck, this course is always in great shape.

Very impressed with the condition of the course. Fairways were very full, and greens were good. The difficulty of this course is in its greens, which are very contoured. You must leave your approach shots below the hole. Unfortunately, I hit a few approach shots above the hole which led to too many 3 putts- easy to do on this course. Pace of play was also excellent- our foursome played in a little under 4 hours.

The course is easy to get to for Petaluma residents. Everything is pretty fine considering it's the last public course standing in Petaluma. We have no choice...

The most important thing is that it is on the Petaluma Airport and if you get a day when they are giving chopper lessons (yes, helicopter), you are SCREWED. The front nine will basically be a waste of time and money.

The back 9 is better on many levels.

For a public course, it is very well maintained. Good course play. Wind sometimes plays into shots but a great place to play. Range is always good for practice and 2 nice chipping/ putting greens. While they don't have a restaurant for golfers the bar area is good enough for a cold brew when you're finished. Only huge complaint is the bathrrom in the bar area dirty and smells like urine ALL the time.

Hi, the challenging part of this course was the water and the weeds. If you got off course and into the tall weeds you were sunk.. I think I lost 3 balls! Next time I will be more familiar with the course and should fair better. But nice course, great views, peaceful and I would definitely recommend!

I usually love this course but the greens had been punched and sanded recently. I wish golfnow or the course would tell us about the conditions before we purchase a round. The greens were actually okay, but it was still much slower and bumpier than normal.
