Rooster Run Golf Club

Played mid-day Sunday. Fairways, bunkers, greens all in very good shape. Tee boxes a bit bang up here and there. Greens were rolling fast and difficult to judge roll out, but that's one of Rooster's defenses on the course. I play here occasionally and it's always a challenge to get around the course. The approach shots are more important in ball placing than hitting tee shots. Worth the time and money to play.

Rooster Run has always been an outstanding course and can provide varying challenges depending on the weather and conditions.

Gorgeous New Years day 2015 weather on a course that is well maintained and played at a good pace. On the occasional 3-4 minute wait, it gave us a chance to take in the beauty of Sonoma County. You should plan to play here in 2015!

It's a fine course. They were confused as I went through golfnow.com as a single. I enjoyed going out as a single and I would rather ride by myself as to sharing with someone I don't know. Everyone was friendly though.

The day we played here they had just stamped the greens, but the upside was that here was no one in front or back of us. Aside from the greens, the fairways were in great condition. The great features of this course are the scenic mountain views, the adjacent ponds with wildlife and the fact there are no houses along any of the fairways (at least I don't recall seeing any) -- all of which made for a very relaxing round.

We played on a Friday and the course was very busy. We were paired up with a couple of local guys who helped us with some course tips.
The course was in reasonable condition and we found the greens quite challenging.
We rented clubs and were surprised to find that they were dirty.
The carts had no GPS and there was no food available after the round

only 25 minutes from home is a great course that I should play more often. Every hole plays differently with lots of different looks and distances. Straight down the middle will help keep your score low.

Greens running a little fast. Course was busy so the time was longer than normal.

Will go back again. A little windy. Go in the morning when the wind is a little calmer. Greens are in good shape.

Good fun course. Pace of play is always an issue with most holders have zero clue. After noon rounds expect plenty of wind.

Worth the drive.
Large ,undulating greens that offer a challenge to your putting skills.
Fairways wide enough to give you a margin for error.

Enjoyed the course. The course was in great shape. Challenging but not a back breaker. Look out fit 9 and 18.

This was my 1st time playing Rooster Run. I played from the white tees but will play from the blues next time. The course was in very good shape. Fairways were in good condition, the rough thick but not too thick, the bunkers were fair and in good condition, and the greens were quick and challenging. Local knowledge helps on a couple of holes but otherwise it is pretty much what you see is what you get.

Played with my best friend, brother and daughter and was unexpectedly pleased (impressed) with the service and condition of the course. Had a wonderful day.

I have played this course before and like the links style layout. In the afternoon, this course is usually pretty windy, which makes it more challenging. Tees, fairways and greens are in good shape (and bunkers are consistent and well maintained). On the day I played, there was no beverage cart service (no big deal for me). Pace of play was good (around 4 hours with no back-ups on any holes). Overall, a fun experience at a reasonable price.

There's a lot of exposure to wind out there and it can make the course extra challenging, especially in the late afternoon.

I have to drive an hour from Pacifica, but it's worth the work. Nice fairways, consistent greens, interesting layout. But boy can they put the pins in some awkward locations. My son had never played here, so I played from the blues with him. There's some great views from the blues. Especially six and seven. I love playing here.

Cool set of swallow bird houses on 4. Saw a swan on 14. Great wildlife all around the course.

Friendly staff, nice grass range. Two practice greens.

The course is in really good shape. Greens had just been top dressed but were very playable and consistent. Fairways nice, not too tight.

I booked the time online for 10:48am and we teed off about 10 minutes late. The course was in great shape but the pace was much slower than I prefer. Being from Petaluma I've played this course several times and I'm always pleased with the overall conditions. It's a fun, moderately challenging course that will make you work just enough to keep you sharp.
