Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

This Course Calls For You To Be Confident In Yourself!!!
I've been playing this course over 8 years, and like wine, it's getting better with time. The course was in very good conditions. the Greens rolled like felt carpet. fairways manicured well. Keep up the good work!!!
Not a bad course
9/28/2013
Course was in good condition today. Greens were smooth and pitch mark free. They have a grass range which is always nice. The tee boxes are in good shape. Course was wide open, took under 3 1/2 to finish 18. Fun little track to be honest. Not a high amount of difficulty but there are some tee shots that really make you think.
They have a nice putting green as well. Recommended.
They need to have a marshall on weekend and ENFORCE the 15mins/hole.
Expect 5+hrs round. They need a marshall to enforce 15 mintes per hole.
This course has great features, but in need of much care, greens ok
if a wood chuck could chuck, how much wood would a wood chuck chuck?
the greens have been improved.
The course has a great layout which makes for more of a challenge.
Delta View
I've played this course about a dozen times this year. Hadn't played since summer of '02 because it was so windy it wasn't fun. Honestly the best times of the year to play here are February-April and October-November when the wind is mild. Normally I've played well under 4 1/2 hours every time I've played there this year but on September 14 it took 5:40. There was a tournament that went out in front of us. Why it takes tournaments so long is beyond me. Do you really need to putt for that 12? All in all I love this course, it's very challenging and fair but when tournaments are out marshalls need to keep play moving. I'll still go back but will check to make sure I'm not teeing off behind a tournament next time. The greens were in great shape and rolled very true. Winds were gusting at 20-25 mph so it was very challenging but still had fun despite the slow play.
A hidden gem
A challenging course with many elevated tees and with a brisk wind, can be very challenging...loved the course..lay out if really good...
nice improvements but still needs some work.
I've been playing delta view for a few years and the have definitely made some nice improvements to the course. However, there is much work to be done. The cart path needs serious re-paving on most holes. The one restroom is in horrible condition and smells awful. Hopefully they are not done. This course has a lot of potential. Challenging course with lots of mature growth nice fareways with decent greens. I'll be back.
Great Value!
We got on twilight for $25 with cart. Course was in great shape and the layout was challenging. Will definitely play again!
Delta view golf course in Pittsburg, CA
Played the course for the first time. Greens were in great shape nice open fairways. I would recommend this course to a friend.
The course had some interesting holes.
I mixed up my reservation date and turned up a day late. The gentleman at the pro shop was super nice and allowed us to play without any penalty or surcharge. The condition of the fairways and the greens were pristine. Although the course was not long, it required accuracy off the tee. Otherwise, the second shots could be blocked by trees. Strong wind was also a factor especially on the higher ground. We got stuck behind a flight of very leisurely ladies and the round took five hours. It was a nice day so we just took our time and enjoyed the view of San Joaquin River delta.
Windy, steep hills, challenging
This course won't bore you. It has ups and downs, dog legs left and right, water in front and to the sides.
Fairways and greens are well-maintained.
Best of all, I lost only 3 balls and made a couple of pars!
Cool Course but Just Two Star
This course has very challenging greens, especially on the back nine. Lots of elevation changes and dog legs which are fun but a lot is left to be desired.
First off, you should know that it is pretty much always windy at this location. Secondly, its downwind from a landfill so it stinks a little. There are a lot of water hazards however most of them are dry so you can literally walk in and play your ball.
It's a cool layout, the terrain makes for a challenging round and the greens are pretty well mantained but its rough around the edges, always windy and it stinks. If you know that going in you won't be disappointed.
Great use of elevation changes.
The course was in good shape. It uses the elevation changes of the Delta hills well. It is fun to play and afforded some great views. Some of the holes have a high risk/reward factor. I will definitely be back.
Greens need work
The course was in fair condition and the pace of play was very good. The only problem I found was the greens, they were too soft and very slow.
Fun
The course was fun to play on and had some great holes. Pace of play was poor due to no marshall, but overall it was well worth it.
Pittsburg's Delta View GC
Haven't played this course in a few years and I must say it is still in pretty decent shape. Tee boxes are fair, fairways are ok, greens are consistent and medium slow, but sand in bunkers is like concrete. Where there used to be water hazzards are now deep grass bunkers (and there are still red stakes there?). Wind is still fierce and the course is still very hilly with lots of forced carries, doglegs and blind shots. Par 3's are very tough, especially when you have to carry 165 over water into the wind. Plenty of fairways slope left to right so a drive down the middle gets you to the right rough most of the time and sometimes all the way to the boundry fence (be careful, mine went through the chain link fence and onto the street). Some people call it a billy goat course.
Front nine greens were too mushy and had foot prints from the play that day. The back nine greens were much, much firmer and rolled excellent. Be pr
Course needs some attention. Several dry spots in the fairways. Understand the wind always blow there. Many nice hole layouts. Just can't wack away. Strategy needed to properly manuver around the course. Much more brake in the greens than what appears to your eye.
Always a challenge.
I live in Pittsburg, and play the course 3-4 times a year. The course is always in good condition, and the staff are friendly.
It is always challenging, especially in the wind, but is a lot of fun to play.
I always recommend this course to my friends,
