Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

the greens were to soft
I used to play this course all the time. The greens were great. Since different people took over this course the maintenance of the greens has suffered.
Nice challenging course that's well maintained.
Nice little course that has character and good greens. Has some holes where you can really let it go and others where you need to be careful. Varied terrain, decent carts and friendly staff.
This course can be very challenging on a windy day!
This course is good shape. Haven't played here in almost 15 years. Still a great challenge, had an exceptionally windy day that made playing almost impossible on the front 9, the balls were literaly being blown off of the green, it's not always that way just happend to be the time of day. That rate was good, greens were nice and true. The only downside if you could call it that, is the water hazzards are empty, not sure what's going on there, but at least you don't loose a ball if you should happen to end up in one. I'll be back!
Great Value
You will use every club in your bag. There are some spectacular views. The course is well maintained, but not quite pristine. The greens roll true. Be aware some days it can be very windy.
Calenging but fun
The course is set in rolling hills and has a good balance of water, flat and hilly holes. the price is right and it's enjoyable to play
Well Maintain course
This course has some challenging hole such as dog leg,
over the water tee shot, elevated tee, hills and trees.
Is alot harder than it looks
A good value for golfers who do not need a country club atmosphere. First hole is tricky if you don't know there is water in play. Plays up hill and down with plenty of turns to keep you interested. Easy to get start times, and does not play crowded. Driving range is grass and easy to get to from pro shop. Front nine is newly designed with back nine more traditional. Always have a good time there, even with the wind; which can get quite hollowing at times.
Has a great view
The blue tees are quite challenging. Short course but lots of trees and hazards both left and right . White tees are quite easy. Teed off from the blue though.
Overall, good course for the price.
NCGA index 6, played blue tees. Quick checkin. Difficult course made more difficult by the ever constant wind. Few tee boxes and fairway areas need maintenance, but course is in good condition. Good price for nice, challenging course.
Well maintained muni
Great course, one of the best maintained munis I've played. Challenging, good greens, etc. Some players mentioned the greens were a bit slow, but I am not a fan of slick greens.
Good, unassuming, great 19th hole, average prices on food and beverages. Really liked the course.
A challenging course that plays differently depending on the wind direction.
Delta View GC does not have the best golf cart paths or course conditions but the holes are varied and challenging. Wind directions change day to day causing you to think creatively with your club selection. The greens are excellent although somewhat slower compared to previous rounds. The pro shop is very friendly to GN customers and will get you out sooner than your booked tee time if the course is not busy.
This course needs some improvement
There is a lot of dry spot on the fairway and green. Ball cleaning pots need to be filled with water and cleaner. Bathroom needs to be improved.
The course was in very poor condition.
I can't remember ever playing a course so badly maintained. I sure wont play it again.
Delta View is a must play course
So far, this have been my favorite course using the Golf Now. To rank the courses so far from top to bottom,
1) Delta View
2) Franklin Canyon
3) Roddy Ranch
4) Lake Chabot
Delta View was in good condition, pace of play was good, good layout, challenging holes, and etc. It was very windy (30-50 mph) so it was very difficult.
The greens and fair ways were in great shape
Our foursome was surprised how well the greens were maintained. When pitching up the ball actually left a divot, even in 100 degree weather. The other surprise was the fairways were green and felt like you were walking on carpet. I would recommend the course to a friend to play.
Great views
This is a very fun course to play. Had great views of the east bay. Gentleman at the pro shop got us out promptly.
This course offers variety
Overall the golf course is a fantastic value. The greens are well tended and the fairways are well maintained. This has been increasingly in-evidence over the past few years. I was worried that it would be too windy but that was not the case. I have been here when it was windy but then so is Edenborough, Scotland. If you play from the white tees it is a short course but you will need to be in the fairway or double bogey is always a possibility due to the undulating greens especially on the back nine which is an Alister McKennzie design.
nice course, usually windy
1 1/2 hr. drive from San Jose otherwise I would play there often.
Delta View continues to be a local favorite of mine, thanks to its unique layout and well-maintained greens and fairways.
Our group plays at Delta View at least once a month. We return because this muni is well above average in both its design and in the way it is maintained. We understand legendary golf course architect Alistar McKenzie designed one of the nines; the course is challenging, but very playable; it has frequent elevation changes between tee and green, and many holes demand accuracy off the tee or you can easily go through a couple of sleeves of your favorite ball - - and especially when those coastal winds blow through East Contra Costa County and down on Delta View. A friendly staff in the pro shop and the grill make us feel welcome and anxious to return again.
Generous Fairways, but still not wide enough
This is a borderline hacker friendly course; lot's of trees, water, OB, and wind...Just when I thought I was ready to take on a challenging course, I met Miss Delta View...She broke my heart, but let me down gently though...shot an 87 from the white tees, felt more like 107__going back for more, real soon. Well Worth the $25.00 including cart.
