Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

Always been one of my favorites but kinda lost its touch over the years. It's climbing it's way back up the list though.
The course is greener then I've ever seen it and the greens are in good condition. Still can use some touch ups around the edges but its definately in the best condition I've seen it in along way. A couple stakes and ropes can go along way w/ bringing the rest of the course back and a good Marshall to push the pace would be nice.
Well maintained course with a good value.
Course was green and well maintained. Pace of play was about right. Good value.
great course, fairways and greens in excellent shape
I play courses throughout the bay area and this course is tops on my list...the fairways and greens are lush and the course layout is interesting and challenging
Slow Pace of Play
We played nine holes in 3 plus hours. No marshals on the course to monitor the pace of play. The course was OK and a relatively good value, but the pace of play was ridiculously slow. A foresome in front of us were 100+ scorers, but played from the blue tees and took forever on the greens. Windy conditions but I guess that is usual. Overvall, the times between holes ended up making our round a bad experience.
Great location, but course needs attention
The day we played, the course was very windy, but this is not uncommon for this course. They were watering heavily for some reason and there was A LOT of standing water in the fairways, which made playing difficult. The traps were also watered, so you couldn't play well from them. Too bad, because the course is really good when it is well-maintained.
Great course for the price. Staff has always been very friendly and accomodating.

Play somewhere else!
person in the pro shop does NOT know how to smile.
Could not tell the difference between the tee boxes and fairways.
Cart paths are a NIGHTMARE!
Your better off taking a leak in the bushes full of poison oak than using the DISGUSTING restroom on the course. Waited 15 minutes in the bar for a drink.......NOTHING BUT CRICKETS!!! Cant even get a soda or food because apparently they can't staff someone to run the 19th hole....LAME!!! I see people posting that it is a great value for the money....I say spend another 10 bucks and go somewhere that has much better amenities and a course thats in better condition. Never again will I play this course, with so many others that are so much better for 10$ more.
Good layout.
The tee boxes on several holes are shaped like footballs..not so good. What happened to the water in the water hazard? The greens are really slow and bumpy.
The course is a great value and is in good shape.
Delta View is one of the best deals in the Bay Area. Sometimes the great price can bring in the crowds and the pace of play can be slow. But my last round took less than four hours.
Not flat
Love those rolling hills, get windy here but worth it,
Great course & friendly staff…
I really enjoyed this course, would recommend it to all my golf playing buddies and look forward to playing it again!
One of the best munis and values in Contra Costa County
Course is very challenging and a tour quality design - various slopes and undulations, pro-level greens with breaks and slopes, conditions are very good. Ball placement is important if you want to have the best angles and opportunities to score your best. World-famous course designers - McKenzie and Muir.
Pleasant surprise
Great track for the price. Nice combination of challenge but not so difficult that becomes frustrating. Views form the top holes are fantastic.
Good pace, well tended....great value
I left work early on this pre-Memorial Day Friday and hit the course around 4 PM. I felt the couse was well tended and the greens were pretty consistent other than a few back nine uber-undulating layouts.....I mean to the point where the ball was tracking sideways on long putts. The scenary on some holes was awesome and at a point I had to pinch myself and remind myself that I was actually in Pittsburg, CA! Started the round as a single, but by the 7th hole caught up to a regular golfer at Delta View. He agrees the course is a value and tells me the pace of play moves quickly even on weekends. My only complaint would be that many of the cart paths are severely cracked and I feel they could use some maintenance. Other than that I great day of golf at a better than average golf course.
Tough little course
Tough little course with sharp teeth for those who don't keep it on the fairway. When the wind gets going at Delta View it will be a round you wont forget. This course which is short will still make you hit every club in your bag. This course is a tough walk, unless your in good shape. Highly recommend is course!
best bang for the buck
Love this course, every hole is challenging and you must learn how to read a green
Good course to play.
Delta View is not a very long course, but each hole presents several challenges to make the round difficult. There are unusual angles from the tee boxes, narrow landing areas, plenty of water, and wind to make for an interesting round. The greens and fairways are in very good condition. The first time round, as mine was, is very challenging. There are very few level lies and plenty of up and down hills.
the course layout is very nice
delta view golf course plays fairly but in the afternoons it can get windy
Tricky but manageable
The course can be a fun experience, even though it's challenging at times, under-maintained in spots n often overly windy. Many greens are undulating, with occasional pin-placements bordering on unfair. Most par-3s are long, some of the hardest around. Par-4s are shorter but can get you. Par-5s are sneaky tough. Gotta stay controlled off the tee and smart around the greens.
