Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

Nice course, however, cart path needs a lot of work. In most places the concrete path was broken and uneven.
Nice pace of play on the day I golfed. Course management had failed to notify, however that the greens had been aerated recently.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Turkey sandwitch from cafe was very good.
Staff members accomodated all our requests and were very friendly, both in pro shop and cafe.
In general the course was in great shape. A few rough areas around the greens. One ball wash out of water. A pretty setting for the course. We played two rounds, each took about 4 hours. New players would be helped by a few more signs pointing to next hole.
All three in our group would agree with this review. Our scores were 84, 92, 108.
Overall good outing
This was basically a practice round. The course was only open to the front nine. We played it twice to get our 18 holes in. I have played here before. The course is well maintained and a good value. I recognize the fact that courses are now being readied for the spring, summer and fall season. After these first two weeks of Spring...things will be back to normal.
This is a nice challenging course with varied elevations.
The course was nice and the staff was friendly. The only complaint I had was that they let high handicap golfers play in fivesomes!!! The fivesome today was several groups in front of us and held up the entire course behind them. This fivesome evidently had never heard of the term ready golf and seemed to do more talking than golfing. Luckily the fivesome broke up after the ninth hole but the damage was already done and several players dropped out after the ninth hole thinking the back nine would take another 3 hours. Throughout our entire round I did not see one marshal. If a course allows fivesomes, they need to have marshals on duty to make sure one group does not hold up the entire course.
A total surprise in the Bay!
I needed a place to take my dad for a round of golf. Bought a GROUPON deal for Roddy Ranch that I could not book due to them over booking. Went on to Golfnow.com and found Delta View and reluctantly booked but to my surprise the place turned out to be great for the money and I will for sure come back. The holes were challenging, greens were tight.
Nice round of golf in an unpretentious setting
Haven't played this course in 15 years and have to say it's worth a visit if you want to try something different. Most munis are flat, boring, and simply lacking of any characteristics. Delta View offers a lot for the money, particularly if you're in search for a course with nice conditions and good greens. Honestly i don't think you find better greens from courses costing twice as much.
Keep an open mind once you arrive. Leave all expectations in the parking lot and you'll be treated to a fantastic round! Enjoy!!!
Wind, Wind, Wind
What can I say is that if you want to play at this course be prepared to play in the wind, and lots of it. Overall the course layout is pretty interested, not too long but with most shots shooting into the wind it makes it quite challenging.
Course condition is so so, most greens are pretty furry and quite slow
great variety of play hills and flat
remodel the bathroom on the back nine , trim the large trees on hole #11 and #17
This course is interesting.
This course has been played numerous times by my wife and me. It has many interesting holes. The course is well-maintained but not pristine. We have always found the staff to be very cordial. It is moderately priced and is well worth the green fees that are charged.
good layout - can use some cleaning and better maintenance
greens were below avg; some had dead grass or no grass on certain portions. course layout was good - presented good challenges from blue tees, but experience could've been enhanced had it been a little cleaner and more tidy.
Course in bad shape pin placement doesn't make sense.
I would not invite anyone to play this course the greens are bad.
Always a good buy!!
Delta view is always an exciting course. Good value especially weekdays
Overall the course is moderately challenging and would recoomend to a friend.
As for overall the course, during this time of the year the course is many areas muddy. However, not surprised the course is hilly where there are areas that creates opportunites for water to build up. That may be also due to the drainage is not set-up properly. But with even that said, this would not discourage me from playing the course again, the staff are friendly.
Beautiful course, with some great holes. Average maintenance.
Great layout, with some beautiful holes. Dry ponds in several spots, which was surprising considering the wet fall and early winter rains in NoCal.
Fabulous views, with a flock of gorgeous wild turkeys to boot!
Waiting nearly every shot - a group of hackers in front of us.
Lots of plugged lies, with mud on the ball throughout the round.
Greens were very inconsistent - some fast, others very slow. Very bumpy with lots of ball marks and scuffs from shoes (yes, there are still golfers who don't fix their ball marks or pat down blemishes on the greens).
Overall, a good experience. I'd love to play it when it's hard and fast!
An excellent value for your money!
Good day to play - excellent weather - no wind - and there was a 49'r playoff game going so the course was really quiet - just the way I like it. Got there a little early hoping to hop on the course. There was a fivesome (!) at the first tee, but they let me tee off. That's when the fun began, breezed through the first 9 holes faster than speed dating. Got to the 10th hole and the twosome there let me play through and breezed through the balance of the holes. Played my best game to date so I can't complain. Fairways and tee boxes needed some work, brown spots all over, but it wasn't like they didn't keep the greens/fairways clipped or had rogue weeds growing.
Investment Required
This course is billed as a championship course, on their web site. This course requires some much needed investment to bring it up to championbship level.
Compact golf course, back nine is exceptional, Alistair McKenzie design?
Great relaxed atmosphere at this golf course, usually uncrowded during the week, easy to play in 4 hours. Brings back the way muni golf used to be before TV and Arnie and Tiger.
Short , challenging course at a great price!
After several days of rain the course was not as soggy as I had expected. The greens were consistant and in fairly good condition. The temperature was around 48 degrees so the ball did not fly as one would have hoped. All in all a great day on the course!
Reasonable condition, friendly staff, no one there.
Greens are in good condition, some bare spots here and
there in the fairways, but overall a good value for the money. Staff is friendly.
