Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

Fun course, plenty of elevation changes and long holes
Always a fun time at Delta View. Plenty of long holes to break out the driver. Enough challenges: trees, water, bunkers, elevation changes etc. to make it interesting but not impossible.
Lots of chances for big rewards if you're willing to go for it. And Lou takes care of you at the bar...
Great scenic view of the Delta. Can't remember which hole that was.
I went during twilight hours on Black Friday. Big mistake! We had to skip a few holes, and each one was pretty backed up. Other than that, I met and played with a great bunch. They knew what they were doing, and didn't mind me being a beginner.
I still enjoyed the holes that I played. I just have to remind myself not to do this next year. I plan on playing this course again during the weekdays, when it's less busier.
Challenge on a budget, but warn loved ones you'll be home late.
You would never call this course one of the greats, but it's not one of the worst either. The holes are all interestingly designed, and you will remember them the next time you play there. But your first time will be awkward as the course is filled with blind shots off of the tee, and nuances that leave you shaking your head while walking off each green. "Next time I will know how to play that hole" will be your mantra the first time around this course. The conditions aren't pristine, but they are not bad either, perfectly playable for those not used to private course conditions. Because it is so challenging hole after hole, the pace of play is terrible, even for a muni. Local duffers spend a lot of time hitting multiple tee shots, looking for lost balls, and playing each hole out to the full 8+ strokes, so don't plan on getting in a quick round. The price is very good though, they have excellent dogs and polish, and a friendly bar to follow your round. Overall good place for a golfer on a budget, who likes a challenge, is not a conditions snob, and has a commitment free day to play golf for well over 5 hours.
Good course but a little to wet in the morning.
Good course, played here many times but maybe a little better course management. Very wet in the morning and they were cutting grass around 9:00 in the morning. Also rolling the greens would have been nice to take some due off.
Course was in fair condition, the fairways could be better maintained
Overall the course was OK for the price greens were in good shape fairways not so good. I would play again and recomened to others
Good value!
This couse is in okay to good shape. There are some challenging holes. Don't let the yardage fool you as Delta winds can make some of the holes play more difficult than expected. The back nine was designed by famed architect Alister Mackenzie and the greens feature subtle undulations for which he is famed.
Overall, a fun course and a good value.
Another great bargain in the east bay!
Weekend morning rounds @ $33 from Golf Now make this course a great bargain. Really awesome course w/many elevation changes and rolling hills. Course has alot to offer with uphills, downhills, dogleg rights, dogleg lefts. Hole 8 is prob my favorite hole of any that I have played in the bay area.
Some very challenging holes and a few easy ones. The wind can play havoc on your game here as it can really whip through the hills and affect your shot. Staff is very friendly
Good condition
This course is in good condition and great deal for $39 on the weekend with cart. Condition is better than coures charging much more.
Really nice course
The course was really nice. Scenic, interesting, well maintained, great rates, and a fun layout, none of the holes are boring. Would definitely go back. For people who regularly walk hilly courses, it's no problem to walk. Lots of nature and very few houses, which I prefer.
Very interesting and challenging layout
Enjoyed playing here for first time. Gentlemen I played with were regulars and said course plays very different in wind which is most of the time.
the course has some nice views & cool holes
Nice course. Has some nice holes with nice views. Fun to play
Slowest course in the Bay Area
No marshall to be found on the course, too busy sitting on a stool in the cafeteria watching football. We could see, from the 8th tee, that there was nobody on 9, and a foursome on the 10th green. This put the group on the 8th green 2 full holes behind the next group. We were 1 of 3 groups waiting to tee off on the 8th. We actually called the marshall out and he gave us attitude, did nothing to enforce pace of play. We will help Delta View with their slow play by never playing golf there again, easing the crowd just a bit... Its a shame because the course layout is fun and the rest of the staff is really nice and helpful.
Thursday round
Came to play Delta View walked up pay and played my round. Little slow down but not much.
Best value for your money! Fun to play ...
Delta View is really two distinct nine hole tracks, with the "new" side having some pretty dramatic views from mountain-top like tees and gentle rolling fairways.
The back nine (by Allister McKenzie) is probably 70 years old and was built for the military (the old Weapons Depot deployment). A classic feel, gently placed in a valley using the natural hillsides to frame small, challenging greens.
Hit fairways, and read your putts correctly, and you can beat your handicap. Miss shots, and you may post a big number.
very nice course for a great price
Nice mix of easy and difficult holes. Weekdays can be played under 4 hours and weekends 4 1/2
What a deal. . .
$15.00 for 18 holes of golf on a fun and challenging course. There was a shotgun tournament, best ball, but the staff at the desk got us right out on time. The course was in Good condition and the views were fabulous from the 8th tee box. The tee boxes and greens are in really good shape and will even get better come fall. We will play this course again and use GolfNow.com because it saved us about $30.00. Keep up the good work with the Great Prices. . .
Cool high elevations tees.
Good course for the money. Sometimes can be windy. Lots of trees you have to work around if not in the fairway. Great local course for the money.
This course is OK
Golf shop staff was friendly. Cart path along the 4th hole and the 18th hole might need some work.
Nice design on original nine.
Tough, but fair. I wish the lakes had water in them.
Surprisingly nice course nestled in the hills
Hilly course, but not in a bad way. Although, a cart is recommended. Some tee boxes have some very nice views from the top of the hills that overlook the delta. Not too backed up in the afternoon, but mornings are (of course) busier).
Has a nice balance of hazards and overall this course is slightly challenging but fun to play.
I support women's golf!!! :)
