Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers 27 holes of championship golf. Divided into three nines: North, South, and West, the courses are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/West Course enjoys the snow-capped Mount Jacinto as a backdrop. Thousands of palm trees cover the rolling terrain and there are six lakes that come into play throughout all three courses. There are also strategically placed bunkers along the greens. The West nine's third hole is possibly the golf course's toughest. It's lengthy at 645 yards and it presents a challenging third-shot approach to an elevated, double-tiered green. The layout offers a few challenging holes but it is still quite player-friendly. In addition to the scenery and playability, another attractive quality is that a round can be played in less than four hours.

Needs work

The track is ok, but needs some TLC. We were stuck behind a very slow group who made no effort to keep up with the group in front of them, no marshall.

A little fertilizer would go a long way to help in the fairways too.

My problem was with Golf Now in not telling me that I could only play 15 holes as 3 holes were closed to previous rain. Driving range was closed. It was my first round in months (MN) and wanted to hit a few balls first. GolfNow wanted to give me a whopping $11 credit! Really! I would have never played the course! OK course. Greens in nice shape. I just don’t like seeing all the condos so close to course!

Course conditions

Course is very good layout. Greens were outstanding & rolled true. Bunker condition was average. No oncourse beverage cart.

Course only had 15 of 27 holes open as numerous holes were damaged due to recent low land flooding. No mention of this closure when booking was disappointing.

Enjoyed the course

We very much liked the course, however due to the earlier rain/flooding there are several holes not in use and we did not know ahead of time because we booked online. The clubhouse does make an effort to inform its clients.

We would like to golf there again when its all opened.

The online price did not reflect the abbreviated course.

three holes are gone

due to recent storm/rain, three holes have been damaged and not opened. course only allow us to play 15 holes..which we found out at the check in. I paid thru golf now and club house couldn't reimburse me
