Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - South/West

We had another fun round here and were paired with a local couple. Course was in good shape given that it is about to be shut down for overseeding. Had a wonderful time chatting with the other couple as we played. Pace of play was excellent and we finished in three (3) hours!

Course could use a marshal - one group had 2 empty holes in front of them. Other than slow play, enjoy the course.

The pace of play was pretty slow. Called the pro shop twice and on one came out to deal with the slow foursome.

For the price - it was well worth it. The course has a unique design and some challenging holes. The first 3 holes were very soggy at 7am, but outside of that the course was in real good condition.

It’s difficult because I remember this resort 10 years ago looking much nicer the conditions unfortunately are degrading. And for some reason there is so much overwatering and broken sprinkler pipes on the golf course lots of paddling and then there’s the wash. I’ve never been a big fan of golfing in the washes here in the desert so I’m a little biased on my opinion. This golf course is on a resort property unfortunately I could not find an ATM machine to even get cash so I could at least tip the staff after our visit the food at the turn was delicious we had a burrito that was prepared for us and I’ve always thought the food was decent here. Unfortunately the course conditions including bunkers and fairwaysI just not up to par for the price. But this is over seed time in the desert in this course is always an option this time of year. The staff is friendly and very courteous and I will return there with different expectations.

Great course with a lot of challenging holes. Only complaint is that they shut down everything by noontime. I can understand it because of the summer heat and number of golfers. It was still a little irritating.
