Diamond plugs
I usually play this course without a problem this time I was unaware of the aeration. There was nothing on their site or on GolfNow when I booked. All courses including Diamond Oaks should be more forthcoming about when they aerate. Or charge less for non playable greens.
Would have been nice to know
Paid $52. and no notice that the greens were just aerated last week... I even called the pro-shop and they did not disclose. They use the large plugs and are skimpy on the sand so it was a mess!
I don't mind the aerations, and expect it in the spring, but at least have a notice about it before spending $50.
Nice fairways for the less then average golfer!
2nd time playing and I love this place. I have only been golfing for two years and still have a long easy to go. I love this place because of the friendly fairways. The hazards are great and a challenge. I can’t wait to play again!
Love this track- would love to see improvements
Pace of play could have been greatly improved with a little marshaling, especially on the back nine. There were 4-5 groups stranded behind a foursome that were goofing around.
The fairways were in rough shape with lots of mud patches and poor grass conditions. On the positive side, the greens and areas surrounding were in good condition.
The staff was and always is wonderful- despite some course conditions. I will be back!
Course Review
Parts of the fairway were pretty dried out, but other than that, fun course to play on.
Fairway conditions
The fairways were very bad.
In many places there was no grass and just dirt.
Hello Marshall’s?
I like this course but slow play, late starts, times too close together are all to common.
Yesterday, foursome in front of us PAINFULLY slow. Nobody in front of them. Never saw ONE marshall !!!!!
This is why I rarely play diamond oaks. It’s the same thing ALL the time.
For the same money, (and yes I paid full price, $55) there are many non-muni courses in the area that respects the good time of “all” players.
Probably the last time playing here.
I agree with this post. Nowhere was there notification of aeration. We likely would’ve booked elsewhere had we known. And I certainly agree that green fees should be reduced especially when freshly aerated.
