Fairway Care Needed
Greens in good shape. Fairways need grass and too muddy for no rain. Bunkers are dirt/sand. Not the good ol neighborhood course it once was.
Dissatisfied
Course very dry with poor fairways. Tee box’s needed mowing. Pin placement mostly on slopes of every green? I use to enjoy playing there........
WILL PLAY MORE OFTEN
played white tees but blues are also playable. course still recuperating from a wet winter and fairways are still bare and a little muddy. otherwise great layout and had a great time with our foursome.
Very Nice Course
For winter thge course was in very good condition. The fairways were a little brown. Muddy along the cart paths. The greens were in great shape. The course played very fast - expect a lot of rolls.
Fairways need work!
The fairways do not drain properly and very muddy. I started the 5"9" and finished 6'1". The greens were pretty good but no excuse for the fairways as there hasn't been much rain this month.
Nice Course
Good round. Course is a bit wet, not unusual this time of year. Hea, we were out golfing in January.!
Too bad! Poor management.
Too bad! This could be a great local option. BUT: the tee boxes are in terrible shape; the bathrooms are out of order; you have to pay a $5 “cart key” deposit and return to the clubhouse to get the money back (don’t forget or you lose your money!); no cart service... I wanted to like my experience, but didn’t.
Great course
I was very surprised at how well the course was taken care of. The greens were pure, and rolled nicely.
Charged while weather did not permit play
I normally do not write reviews. I booked a tee time through golf now and the morning of the weather did not permit play. I may multiple attempts to call the pro shop and cancel or reschedule my tee time and had. I luck with the answering my call. They charged me for a no show and was very disappointed. Had they answer the call I would have rescheduled for the following day. I will be seeking my $44 back through Golfnow. I have booked over 100 rounds in the last 5 years and never had a. I show charge. This is beyond redivision’s. Had they answered their phone, I would have simply rescheduled my gold round.
Sunny
Played on a weekday and the course was not crowded so was a really enjoyable round. Course and equipment in very good condition.
A Beautiful November Round
Weather was perfect. Greens were perfect (too fast for me; but that's another story). Fairways and T-Boxes in nice shape for this time of year. Made the 18 in just under the course time. Wonderful place to spend a beautiful Fall day.
Play Diamond
Greens were perfect. New golf carts were great slso
1st time - Never again!
For an 11:18a tee time, holing out 18 at 4:45p is unacceptable - I’ll have to be desperate to consider this course again! FAIRWAYS we “okay”; (most were hit & miss patchy/burnt sections, or soggy/muddy to the point of balls lost plugged in mud.) GREENS were decent, but everything else was... less than acceptable. I’ve played plenty of surrounding Roseville/Rocklin/Sacramento courses, almost all with cheaper fees & better maintenance/course management, but for the log-jam of players starting at the 3rd tee box - it’s not worth our time!! (not to mention enduring the beyond-inebriated 4-some constantly yelling, shouting & hitting shots at our heels through the entire course!) One of my players even quit & left by 13!
Unless it’s an act of God, my guests and I will play elsewhere & won’t be back!
— Best of luck to everyone else!
Love this course
No ropes!
Which means you can drive to your ball. This allows faster play.
the course was in perfect condition great weather.
Great Round at Diamond Oaks
Our tee time was early in the morning and thankfully, it was cooler than most of my golf this summer. This is the first time I had played Diamond Oaks, but my partner has played the course twice before. I was very surprised at the quality of the course. The thing that really stood out was the quality of the greens, the condition of the fairways, and the pace of play.
If I was to provide an improvement recommendation, it would be that the par 3’s were fairly basic. Additional elevation changes, pin placement and additional bunkers could benefit this area of the course.
Thanks for a great morning and I look forward to my next round at Diamond Oaks.
Typical Diamond Oaks Day
This is one of the busiest courses in the area, and also one of the least difficult, which means that many golfers play here because it is best suited for their skill level.
Played today with a couple of very novice golfers that had little knowledge of rules or playing procedures. Very nice gentlemen and took suggestions for proper play to heart. It would have been a shame for them to have been paired with a couple of hard-nosed, play by the rules golfers as it may have discouraged their enthusiasum for the game.
Sunday at Diamond Oaks
We tee’d off at 8:37 and the temperature was still quite comfortable, low eighties. The coarse is in great shape as a whole and the green’s are in excellent conditions although the hot temperatures are taking it’s toll as there are some dead patches on some.
Nice older coarse and worth the money.
