Great Round at Diamond Oaks
Our tee time was early in the morning and thankfully, it was cooler than most of my golf this summer. This is the first time I had played Diamond Oaks, but my partner has played the course twice before. I was very surprised at the quality of the course. The thing that really stood out was the quality of the greens, the condition of the fairways, and the pace of play.
If I was to provide an improvement recommendation, it would be that the par 3’s were fairly basic. Additional elevation changes, pin placement and additional bunkers could benefit this area of the course.
Thanks for a great morning and I look forward to my next round at Diamond Oaks.
Typical Diamond Oaks Day
This is one of the busiest courses in the area, and also one of the least difficult, which means that many golfers play here because it is best suited for their skill level.
Played today with a couple of very novice golfers that had little knowledge of rules or playing procedures. Very nice gentlemen and took suggestions for proper play to heart. It would have been a shame for them to have been paired with a couple of hard-nosed, play by the rules golfers as it may have discouraged their enthusiasum for the game.
Sunday at Diamond Oaks
We tee’d off at 8:37 and the temperature was still quite comfortable, low eighties. The coarse is in great shape as a whole and the green’s are in excellent conditions although the hot temperatures are taking it’s toll as there are some dead patches on some.
Nice older coarse and worth the money.

Great course!
Went out on a Sunday evening got 18 holes wit a cart for 2 of us for $34 can’t beat that when usually a bucket of balls is at least $10 and we were playing a round for $15 each.. course was in great condition and there was no lines or wait on an hole had an amazing time!!
Fun but slow day
The course is in great shape. Small driving range, but no waiting to get onto it. Weather was good, warm to hot, but a breeze all day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was it was a very slow day. One group about four groups in front of us was extremely slow with about 2 open holes in front of them. We ended up three groups deep as some tees, and that was throughout the whole course, not just the front nine. Still it was a fun day and I will be back.
Great time
My son and I went for his birthday and it was great
Too slow
Course was in great shape, pace of play was ridiculous and not one marshal out ensuring the pace of play was maintained. Very disappointing. If groups are going to play so slow they should be forced to let faster groups play through.
Great community golf course
I like this challenging golf course. It's walkable, many shorter par 5s and 4 pars. Fair ways are green right this time after the rain.
Course greens were just punched
Could not play. The front nine holes were punched Monday, and the back nine today. Tons of sand. Back nine was closed, so to do 18 holes you had to play the front nine twice.
Fun day
The course didn't do anything to memorable, but for what it was; it was incredibly well kept and the rough was thick (which proved to be unforgiving). The club fitter was super nice and actualy expedited a club repair insue for my dad while we played the front 9. Then when asked what I owed for his troubles he graciously took a bare minimum leighbour charge as payment. (Realy nice gesture). Overall a great experience. Definetly going back when in that area.
muddy mess!
Never would have booked this tee time had I known in advance that every hole was cart path only. This course does not drain well.
Course conditions are currently terrible
The greens are in pretty good shape
The fairways are litered with divots and has been sparingly mowed.
If you push left or right into the rough, be prepared to drop when go when you can’t find your ball. The rough hasn’t been mowed in quite a while, there’s plenty of dry grass out there ready. The conditions negatively affected gameplay.
The tee boxes are like driving out of the rough.
