Course in great condition
For a relaxing round this is the course to play. Not super difficult and moderate risk/reward. Makes for a relaxing and fun round.
Overall Nice Course
Pace of play a bit slow, but that is to be expected on a weekend. Beverage cart was often available.
Diamond Jokes
I will never return to this course. It took 4 hours to play 12 holes so we left. I have never seen so many people with jeans and t shirts at a golf course either. Next time you think about playing here, flush your money down the toilet instead, then go to any of the beautiful courses in the same area that present a real value: Whitney Oaks, Turkey Creek, Lincoln Hills, etc. All of those courses and more can be played for less money than Diamond Oaks.
Nice course for a muni
I hadn't played course in many years They have really improved the condition and playability of course. Beautiful oaks and nice rolling fairways. Greens were receptive and rolled fairly smooth for a muni. Worth a play if you're in the area. Only complaint was pace of play, plan on waiting awhile between shots.
The course has great features.
The course fairway, greens in great shape and the rough was not high.
Nice course
Played as a single. Showed up early. Was able to play in less than 3 hours. Pro shop staff was very friendly and accommodating for someone who had never played the course before. I was impressed with the condition of the course. Fairways were exceptional and most of the greens were in great shape. Only a few of the greens had more than the usual number of ball marks from inconsiderate golfers not repairing their own marks - not the courses fault but typical for a muni course that gets a lot of public play. Most of the bunkers looked in good shape. Only a few had rocks in them. Average price for the course. They don't offer too many good deals as they get enough play so I don't play here often as I can get better deals most of the time elsewhere. This is a good course to play if you are having some trouble with your game and need a confidence booster.
Great conditions...
Friendly staff to get you loose and laughing. Allowed us to start early. Course was beautiful. Only gripe was tee box placement as they were crested hills but it doesn't hurt to step back a foot or two to find a level patch of ground. A bad day on the golf course trumps your best day at work, and so does beating your brother lol.
Good, but not great.
Tee blocks were in poor condition. Fairways were in really good condition. Greens had been punched recently, apparently, and need some more time to smooth out. Putting was a challenge due to the punching holes and how slow the greens rolled.
Fun course.
This course was very fun to play. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely play again.
Well staffed, popular and well maintained.
Pace of play was great for a Sunday afternoon tee time. Each hole had a different challenge but not insanely difficult. Club house has plenty of big screens, great beverage selection and very good food.Diamond Oaks is worth the time and money.
Beautiful picturesque GC
Love the course a lot more than anticipated. So beautiful, after the thunderstorms. Nice pristine and green fairways. Excellent pace of play for me since I was not paired with anyone. Excellent course with well-designed tees and challenging water features..
Don't play here
This is a horrible place to play golf. They care more about money then about pace of play. Save your time and money just another terrible city course.
Has matured over the years.
I remember this course in 1965 when I lived in Sacramento. The trees have grown and the course is longer. Is a good track with excellent greens. Play on a Tuesday was a little slow. Waited on every hole.
Greens in great shape
The course is well maintained. Especially the greens. The ball rolls true off the putter head.
Bad Tee Boxes
The tee boxes were not well care for nor did the fairway green. Need lots of maintenance.
Out of control- watch out!
Teeing off at the first hole, we were almost hit by a 90 mile an hour ball coming from who knows where? Driving range maybe? The first hole is directly next to/behind the unsecured, un-netted driving range. Course was way over crowded. We were paired up with another group unknowingly and not happy. The course has many switchbacks, so while your on hole 3, people are right next to you on hole 6 and so on. Its very nerve racking and your constantly dodging out of control golf balls. I would not go back. So much for focusing on your game and enjoying a peaceful golfing experience. Anything but....
I like Diamond Oaks
My son and I went out to play at Diamond Oaks on Saturday afternoon. The golf course was well maintained. The misquitos were out though! Bring repellant!
...FUN COURSE...
...great greens.............................................................................................................
Very nice greens for any course this time of year
Nice layout for the average player with excellent greens that can be walked by anybody
Local Flare
Although this course has great local flare it was in just OK condition. The 12:00 tee time found the temperary restrooms overflowing. The attention to detail and mowing is needed. Not a good example for the city of roseville on how to run a course.
