Don’t play
Do not waist your money or time. Bare patches throughout some entire approach’s are dirt. $69 for twilight should have stayed home and watch football or booked some place else. We won’t return.
Unplayable and rude management
The cost was ridiculously high for a course in this condition. The pro shop looked like it was straight out of a Walking Dead episode. Dirty, abandoned and zero stock. The turn where they sell food, drinks and snacks was so run down, it resembled a torture chamber. We bought beers and they had to run it out to us 2 holes later. We were finished, the woman who claimed to be the person in charge started yelling at us about bringing our own drinks onto the course. But we had to the stickers on the can where it read that it was purchased there. She didn't even apologize. Just turned around and started harassing other patrons. Then the "Marshall" drive out and said we needed to let the group behind us play through even though they were over a hole behind because they were "regulars" and they always tee'd off first for the day. We refused since we didn't want to wait for them to catch up.
Never again at this course. Compete garbage course and staff. 👎🏼
Disappointing for the Price
First time at ACC and everything I had heard was that it was in better shape than Shandin Hills. That information couldn’t have been more FALSE. There was no fairway; I get that it’s December and grass dies, but there was literally no fairway it was just dead patches and mud. There’s no nets from the driving range and the tenth hole is a blind shot over the range, it’s really poorly setup. For the price, you could easily go to better options in the area like Yucaipa Valley or Shandin Hills which is in wayyyyyy better shape and cheaper. Pretty disappointing course.
Conditions not great
For the price there are better courses
William Bell design!
Enjoyable course. Layout is excellent. Fairways need grass. We improved our lies to green patches when it was really necessary because of wet fairways and muddiness. Course is flat. Reminds me of Brookside #2 in Pasadena (also designed by William Bell). Another course that is similar is Santa Anita in Arcadia. First impression was that it was a fun course to play. Excellent assistance by sign-in person. Course is 100 years old with beautiful trees on each fairway. Also, beautiful residential surroundings. Will definitely play again.
Mud golf
Course is always sketchy in the fall n winter anyway....because the main grass is dormant n they don't spend the money to plant rye during this time like palm springs courses do...but its really muddy as well as being brown....thin.. muddy lies are not fun..
This was a classic case for the need of a Marshall.
The pace of play was extremely slow. Two and three open wholes in a row. We literally finished in the dark. Fairway are gone. It is not just winter conditions. There would be large swaths in the center of the fairway with no grass. Compacted mud seemed to be the standard.
Greens were ok. Slightly bumpy. Bunkers were muddy sand, but playable. No score card. Pin placements were done by someone who has never golfed.
The price was too high for what they had to offer. Paid $64. Played like a $ 20 course
Would not play
The grounds were not maintained, Fairways were dirt, no food was available, no one was keeping the pace of play.
Course is in bad shape.
First time here. Went because of decent reviews. Disappointed. Clearly they didn’t water enough over the summer and haven’t started yet. Still dead and dry grass in the fairways and several areas of different grass varieties. Hard packed sand in the bunkers with few rakes. The 10th hole is a sharp dogleg right that lines the unfenced driving range. Any tee shot to the left means you’re searching through range balls and risking getting hit by a ball from the range. We followed an older twosome and waited on every shot for them. On the back nine, we passed them and waited on every shot for an older foursome, so pace of play was slow. Otherwise, it’s actually a decent layout (other than 10) and would be a fun place to play, but the poor maintenance makes it a no go.
Has to be the worst ive played yet
Drove and hour and twenty minutes to play here. Lost 12 balls due to the roughs being full of tree limbs and gopher holes. No course maintenence . Its obvious they has to open this up to the public as its a crap hole. I wouldnt come here even to play if it was free
Much better than I was expecting.
My first time here. Staff is personable and polite. There was a lady walking around the pro shop area making sure staff and golfers didn’t need any help. I was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quality of the golf carts. Hate using carts full of dust, stains and tears. These looked brand new. Items in the pro shop were VERY reasonably priced. Pace of play was very good. I finished 18 in 3 1/2 hours. Impressive. I definitely will come and play here again.
Decent course. Not many other amenities were open.
Was spending the day in town on a work trip so decided to book this course as it was fairly close to our hotel. The price for the round and cart was reasonable but we also needed rental clubs. They had a few sets but none of them were complete. They said people had broken all the drivers. They did still have a few nice clubs in the set including some older but good wedges. The worst part of that though was they charged $35 dollars per set which I thought was outrageous for an incomplete set. The worker was very apologetic and did his best to find me some spare clubs to get a nearly complete set.
The course was pretty good. A nice layout and in fairly good condition though the greens had recently been aerated and sanded.
Lastly the restaurant was closed and there was no beverage cart. There was no way to buy any refreshments for the entire round.
Overall we had fun and would play again if I had my own clubs.
Good layout.
Very disappointed that a disclaimer wasn't on the GolfNow site about the greens.
Usually they have an aeration alert about the course. There wasn't any on their site.
So we drove an hour to play a course where the greens were unputtable. In the future,
everyone should call ahead to find out first hand the condition of the course, especially the greens.
