Arrowhead C.C.
Awesome layout, I hope whatever management company that runs this property makes and effort to keep the property up and restore it to its old glory. Right now a little TLC would go a long way
Great course, but priced wrong.
Really enjoyed talking with the staff. The facilities were a level up from a “public” asa positive. The course was plenty long and the greens were tough (in a good way.) The greens rolled really true, and the fairways were plenty wide. The greens just weren’t healthy enough (lush/full/thick) and the course looked and felt below par for what it should be. For the money id rather play at Sierra Lakes. I’ll play here again in the future for sure because it was really fun & challenging, just a little on the pricey side for what you get.
Ps- the range balls are aweful. :(
Not Like Arrowhead
I have played here three times. The last two times were fun and inviting. We played on October 30th a Monday, I invited a friend that plays all over. Unfortunately I was embarrassed cause the grass throughout the course was long and thick other than the greens. We shook it off and stated the gardeners must be on vacation. I will tend to stay away from Mondays on this course in the future.
A C C
The greens are pretty nice. This is not an 85 dollar course. Nothing dramatic to this course simply goes back and forth along the course. I would not pay more than 45 bucks to play this course ever. Don't even insult somebody posting 85 bucks to play here. Decent course but no where near 85 bucks though.
Prices are dropping Monday by quite a bit
Reminds me of Caddie Shack
On first impression, this formerly private-only course was well maintained, but right away the members we encountered made us aware we were on "their" course. But once we got out on the course we had a great time! Not too challenging but well manicured, nice greens, with a classic back-and-forth design. Later in the old-school club house, it was a scene straight out of the Caddie Shack movie. The waitress seemed to ignore us outsiders so we took our refreshment money elsewhere. Overall, I probably won't be going back soon, but wouldn't mind playing again with a group of friends.
Play this course!!
I had never been to the course before playing. Pulling up it is an old school country club. Tree lined fairways, not too long, looked like fun. Checking in was a bit disorganized with poor communication of when to tee off. In fact, I had to ask if I could play with a group teeing off... After that it was EXCELLENT!! The course allows you to use every club in the bag. Fairways are clean and inviting. Sand traps are big and groomed. There are trees strategically placed that you have to maneuver around. The course is a very long 6600 yards. It is protected by the AWESOME greens, and the sand makes you think. Pace of Play was dead on. I was in a four some that teed off at noon and we finished at 4:08. Play this course!!! It is a delight!
The is a great couse for the GOLFNOW FEE.The tee boxes cold use some work, greens are showing some ware and tear but over all they good and fast ENJOY THIS COURSE AND WILL COME BACK!
You should try playing on the weekend or Friday, they really get the greens going fast then
Success
Price wasn't bad booked special over internet, played with regular 4some, we will definitely be back. Great maintained course looking very sharp foe this time of year. Greens were crazy fast this afternoon. Very difficult to hold shots and they roooooollllllllliiiiiiinnnnggggggggg. Truly a test today and we loved every second of it. I felt like I was playing at a us open. Greens team really knocked it out of the park with these things. If you don't like firm and fast on putting surfaces then this is not the place for you.
Boring
This is the third and probably the last time I play this course.
The first time was when I found it on Golf Now. It was in the middle of the week and it was wide open. Not a problem then except that all .the holes seem to be the same.
The course is flat, flat, flat. has beautiful trees but just real boring.
Second time they had plugged the greens and sanded them real heavy, but when I called to make the tee time they never told me. I didn't really appreciate that.
Today I played it and first of all the guy in the pro shop was very unfriendly. I was listening to another player complaining about something, I don't know what it was but he sure didn't seem to be interested in it.
They over booked this course big time. It took us 3 hours to play 7 holes. After that we just gave up and drove in.
When we got to the pro shop by the first tee, there were 4 4somes getting ready to tee off and 2 groups on the fairway and one group on the green.
Yup my last time playing that place.
Weekend play
San Bernardino Golf Course
I think it is an awesome course. It's semi private and the pace plays that way... Flat long; appears longer than it actually is. Well manicured. My favorite course...
suprise find
very nice mature tree lined course. conditions better than average this time of year, pace of play couldnt have been better. will continue to play only if rates remain the same or become more affordable. i thinking twilight rate with cart should be $25.00usd
Old-school country club atmosphere
This was a private course that recently opened to the public. Still has the private vibe & the staff was very friendly. I hope & pray that it doesn't change and that newcomers will show it the respect it deserves. You would normally have to pay much, much more to play a course this immaculate.
The greens r getting to look bad people r not fixing their ball marks . They r slow for some reason but over all it's a good lay out
Old-Style Traditional Course
This course is an old-style traditional course with tree lined fairways and bent-grass greens. The course is in much better condition than most of the courses in the area. The traps are fair and playable, the greens are fast and true, and the fairways have more grass than most. A good value, and a course I will play again and again.
Don't tell anyone!!
Nice old course, just went public a few months ago.
Great Course - Staff Not So Much
Course was in great shape. The pro shop attendant was not friendly or helpful at all.
This course is going to have problems until the owner puts his foot down and tells all past members to chill, it is a PUBLIC course now and in time the preferred player is going to be the new PUBLIC player not the former members....or within a year or two it will go broke and close.
They overseeded green surrounds and tees, gotta wait for that stuff to grow very tall before mowing, and they aren't gardeners.
I know they overseeded tees and around greens, you have to let that stuff grow very tall first before the first mow to keep it lush for the winter, I'm sure it will be back to normal soon
