The greens have improved
The greens have improved vastly. The tee boxes are still in need of help but all in all this course has bettered itself. 3/5
Fun Challenging Short Course
San Diego visitor, played 2/7/22 using GolfNow Hot Deal rate plus cart rental. Different and more challenging than any other executive course I've ever played, I enjoyed it very much. Becauce of the elevation changes, narrow fairways, and small fast greens this is not an easy course and plays longer than actual yardages. The average golfer WILL lose balls here. I recomend a cart for senior golfers like myself. Greens and surrounding grasses were in good shape, fairways were a mixed bag, consistent with SoCal courses in this price range. I would definitely play here again.
Just Not Enjoyable
Over 4 hours to play a 3100 yard executive course? Inexcusable. Tee boxes were in horrible condition though the greens were decent. Almost got hit twice by other golf balls. You really need to be alert if you play here but it is just not worth the price.
Review
The course was actually in better shape than I have seen recently. Your gonna lose balls but always a fun course with the elevation changes.
I guess you have to make money somehow
I booked a tee time and tried to cancel it but golfnow wouldn’t let me. Since I’m relatively new to this app and golf I didn’t know what to do so I just didn’t show thinking since there was a ton of availability left the night before that it wouldn’t be busy and they wouldn’t care.
Wrong. I found out golfnow charged me for the full amount because the golf course requested it.
Needless to say I won’t be playing here again.
Great place for beginners
I’m a beginner, I felt comfortable playing this course, I’ll try again soon. Nice people around
A fun few hours at a very good price.
The course was in far better condition than some reviews I had read, not the greatest but very playable with only a few dry spots and only one bunker that was partially mud. Only other complaints are the greens could be in better shape if a few more people fixed their pitch marks and the Blue tee boxes were in rough shape and placed far closer to the white than the listed distance.
Fun Executive Course
Fun Executive course, 4 par fours so can hit driver on a few holes. Tee boxes were a little rough, but the course is in decent shape, greens were decent, especially for the green fee.
Tee Boxes
Sand and seeds are cheap. The boxes were not well kept up. Hitting off dirt on a tee box is not part of any golf course.
What once was a good course....
This course suffers terribly from one thing, the staff. The staff in particular the younger ones on the staff have no respect for clients and treat the course as if it were there own personal country club. If you are in the staff's way of playing they will try to intimidate you to leave. We were a group of beginners and one veteran who has been playing 20+ years in and out of the amateur tournaments. As our beginners, who are older women and teeing off from the correct tees, we get 3 young men who pull up very aggressively and speak to us in a very bad tone. The began hitting into us almost hitting a woman in the head and of course no forewarning. We had to explain to the young man what a beginner is and what respect for one's elders and beginners is. The starter and the cart girl were the only people nice enough and understanding, she was able to speak to the young man and have him see reason for a short while at least. I played a tournament here as a child, I don't know if this is a good place for kids and beginners anymore, it seems like the staff has turned this once public course into there private club. Sam Snead i am sure would've been ashamed with the staff at this course. Perhaps a changing of the guard is in order or maybe even better a bull dozer. Dare I say this will soon be nothing but a waste of water.
