Santa Barbara Golf Club

We played for $20 on a Saturday on a hot deal. It took us 3 hours and 25 min to play. Best experience in pace of play I have had on this course.

This course has stunning views, well groomed fairways and fast, difficult sloping greens.

We played at a special twilight rate. We got round in 3.5 hours. If you come to Santa Barbara there is no better public course.

Good day on the course overall. Just a few groups of younger players taking their sweet time and slowing the pace of play. But you get that all the time anywhere you go...

Course difficulty started out mild but the back 9 has some real challenging holes especially 16, 17, and 18. Didn't think a muni would be so challenging. Course in very good condition. Greens rolled well. Enjoyed it very much. Will be back.

This is a true mini... I love the community feel of the course, and the staff is great, but it is not much of a golfing experience. Lots of tank tops and once a year golfers, which is great. But the course is only so so, and the pace of play (Friday mid-day) was painful. I think we have, finally, learned our lesson and will not play there again.

We got an awesome deal for a nice course. Tee boxes were in fair condition,fairways were nice and green. Was in a few green side bunkers they played nice. Pace of play was a bit slow for me and my partner but made the best of it. Some of the greens are not as nice as other holes. But for the deal on a nice course with epic views of the mountains was well worth it. I will definitely be back soon

Thought the course was fair at best. To be accurate previous weeks rain had led not having the ability to mow grass and there were wet spots. That was understandable. Not understandable was the slow play, almost six hours for the round. There was a match play event against another club which probably attributed to the slow play. But if that was scheduled tee times should have been adjusted. Views of the mountain were great. Some of the hole layouts probably led to slow play because of blind shots and landing areas. All in all it would not be a course I would want to play again. Greens looked great visually but were very bumpy.... maybe overseeding. Bottom line was I didn't think the course was worth the price that was charged.

Great day for a relaxing round at Muni

Good value using hot deal from golfnow. Walked front nine, but many hills convinced us to take cart on back nine. Pace of play was ok, not great. Course plays longer than you think with many elevation changes. The greens were in good shape, fairways a little rougher.

Course in great condition, greens pretty good. Very good course for a muni. Well worth the money. Tough to beat the weather. Basically pretty forgiving course, only lost 2 balls, but that was on me. Food at Mulligans is excellent. A few TVs in bar area, plenty of outside seating. You will have a pleasant time if you play there.

My wife and I played on April 12. We were paired with another twosome of friendly gentlemen. The weather was clear and warm with light breezes that increased in the afternoon. The pace of play was excellent as we never had to wait for any shot and were never pressed from behind. Although the scorecard looks as if this course is not very challenging the terrain will require golfers of all skill levels to pay close attention. The condition of the course was excellent, fairways were lush, the rough was just long enough to present a challenge, and the greens putted quick and true. The greens have subtle breaks that require your full attention. The GolfNow Hot Deal price was a great deal. The practice range is from mats and is a short walk down and back up a steep hill. All in all it was a good day of golf.

The course is being worked on so several of the tees have been moved forward many yards. The greens are in nice shape and well maintained. All in all a good deal and a nice course.

Course is very playable even with the current rennovations going on. Would not hesitate to play it again.

First time golfing at Santa Barbara Country Club. I live in Whittier Ca and was in Santa Barbara for the weekend with my family. I had booked a 2 some online through GOLFNOW and planning on playing with a client that lives in the area. My client was not able to play after and I was impressed how the staff accommodating me as a single player. I went out earlier than my tee and joined a 2 some, we finished the course in less than 4 hours!!!! amazing....you can do that at in LA course....overall great weather, great course, and great experience
