Too slow
What can I say.....in 4.5 hours got through 14 holes. Too slow and too crowded. Still, a nice course and reasonably priced. Go early morning or weekday.

Excellent Muni Course
I thought the course was in very good shape for a municipal course. Even the sand traps were decent. Pay was a little slow, but not too bad. We finished in 4 1/2 hours. The price was great.

This course is in great shape for the drought conditions we are in. Best bang for the buck in Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Golf Club
This municipal golf course gets a lot of play, but it is maintained and run very well.

Good location
Nice course, good location, nice carts and friendly staff. Greens a bit slow and it also would have been nice to use more than irons on the ranch.

The greens were in great shape
Wide open. Fun course to play. The greens were true. Had a good round. Pace of play was good.

Good value
Greens were nicely maintained and consistently fast. Course has too many blind shots though. All in all a good value.

Easy breezy @ the beach
Great golf course!! Only played nine holes but should have played all 18. Had to cut short to take wife shopping. I will be back to play it again!!!

First Time
Played during very hot day (94 F) so the walk was more than expected. Course was in good shape and the greens were excellent, but super fast due to dry weather for a few days. Would definitely play again if in the area. Good value for sure.

Greens were perfect!
Great time at Santa Barbara GC. Greens were perfect and pace of play awesome. Got done as 4 players under four hours and was actually waiting in a few holes, so could have gone faster. Easy location to get to and good price on GolfNow!

Always enjoy playing this course. They are making improvements. A little impacted by drought but doing the best they can.

Santa Barbara Muni
Great Muni course! Suprisingly uncrouded for a Sunday round. Teed off at 12:00 done by 3:30 grounds are in good shape a couple of greens were punched but not all. Good value for $45 including cart. Golf Now saved us $18 for two players.

Not worth the money
When we arrived for our 11:23 tee time they were about 45 minutes behind schedule - we finally teed off at noon and it was very slow - most tee boxes had two groups waiting - one of the carts we had stopped running on the 10th hole (this is the 2nd time this has happened) - we had to stop at 4:00 with 5 holes left - not cheap place to play either - not sure of the alternatives in the area but would of been better to go to the beach.
Sorry about your experience here. We always try hard to make sure the pace of play is as fast as it can be. Your feedback has helped us improve. Thank you.
This is the best course for the money in Santa Barbara. They just got all new carts and they are very nice. I don't know where you live but anything less than $70.00 bucks with a cart is a bargain for weekend golf. Sorry you had a bad day.
Why'd you 'have' to stop at 4? I don't know of a single place where I can guaranty i'll finish 18 holes in just over 4 hours, let alone on a Saturday, teeing off in the middle of the day.
You Will Enjoy the Course
This is the Muni course in SB. It is maintained well for a public course. Moderately difficult, with some holes requiring you to hit from a downhill or sidehill lie. Overall, you should enjoy playing it.

Good but hilly
Hillier than expected - need to be somewhat fit to walk. Some blind shots. Good value, and good views. Pleasant experience. Would play again. Could be better maintained.

Very challenging, Fast greens, great shape
First off I have to say that I was very impressed with the course condition. Greens were excellent but very fast, to fast for this amateur and part of the reason for our slow play.
We played early Friday morning with a twosome that did not play well. Lost balls, long setup for each shot etc... The short of it was the 3some behind us were waiting at each hole after #6. We let them play thru but was constantly pushed by the marshal.
Overall It was a good experience and would love to play again.
