I always enjoy golfing here...
Getting on is a breeze and I love how friendly the staff is. They answer all my questions (and I ask a lot...I'm still somewhat a beginner) with a smile. The coarse is very well maintained and I like that people pretty much keep the pace.
Decent Local Course To Play A Quick 9
Decent Course and Lay out. Nice to get out to do a quick 9. Pruneridge has a nice location, price is decent to play. They have a good warm up putting green, and a nice double level driving range. I will recommend to my fellow golfers, and will return. Thank You Pruneridge.
It's very close to being a pitch-n-putt
I think this is a cute little nine hole course. Some of the par 3's were actually pretty nice, and while the all three par 4's were short, the tree lining on the first two makes for a more controlled tee shot. The 9th hole is a wide open par 4 that frankly isn't very interesting.
The course fits into a square block that obviously is too small to house a proper golf course. For that reason, tee boxes are rather close to greens from previous holes. Greens were in pretty good shape, albeit very soft (bring your divot repair tool - a wedge will leave a large hole in the green). Fairways were under watered and very spotty, which i assume comes from a combination of drought and foot golf. It only matters on three holes though. Tee boxes were also poorly-maintained.
The soccer shenanigans were a bit distracting, but I suppose it's a nice way for an otherwise non-full golf course to earn an extra income.
I might return. I kind of liked it, despite all of its flaws.
Good for what it is
Good course to play after work or for a quick round. Some holes in decent condition but some not. Greens were not in good condition but mostly because holders don't repair their marks. Lots of trees for a small course which keep you protected and challenge you to hit different shots
Footgolf, no thank you!
I've played Pruneridge several times and normally it is good value for money.
This time though, there was Footgolf being played as well. All of a sudden, there is soccer balls flying around and footgolf foursomes arguing that "Footgolf is a faster paced game than golf, please let us play through"
As long the current format with footgolf being played at the same time slots as regular golf, I will be going to a different course.
Great golf course
My first experience at pruneridge was excellent , I played two rounds. I wanted to keep playing, I had such a good time. The guys I golfed with we're friendly and played very well. I can't wait to go back.
Good course for beginner
This is strange to find some people playing succor on the fairway while you are on the game. We found 2 groups of teenager and a middle age man with kids. Dangerous.......safety concern!
Nice little place
Nice place for after work quick 9. Nice large double deck driving range. Nice but small snack shack that closes fairly early. Play is normally pretty fast and greens are in good shape.
NEVER AGAIN ON WEEKEND
THEY HAD SOCCER GOLF PLAYERS AND GOLF PLAYERS TEEING OF ONE AFTER THE OTHER. VERY SLOW PLAY AND DISTRACTING
Great practice round
Great course to practice irons since only 3 par 4's and those are short. Friday morning must be a secret, no one in front or behind for 3 holes or more! Driving range was quiet too.
Great place tune your game up!
Great place tune your game up! Greens are still in great shape, bunkers are clean. If your in need of short game practice this is the best bang for your buck with a couple of long ball holes.
Good practice course
Local course nestled between apartments/condos. Holes are easy walk. Pace was slow since they also allowed soccer golf players who would jump in front of you before you start teeing off; a little annoying. The grounds are decent. Nothing inspiring about the golf shop or food court.
Nice course for practice your short game
If you have a day off and would like to play just for a day and practice your short game, this is the place to enjoy that special day!
second tee is VERY dangerous!
There was a woman in a 4-sum on the second tee that was hit on the head by a shot off the #1 tee that went left. A short time later, we were nearly hit.....again on the #2 tee! A net should be put up to protect golfers before someone get hurt badly. The irony is the sign approaching the 3rd tee that explains to golfers that they are responsible for all damage and injury caused by their golfing.
Not Too Bad
Pro: One if the longest 9 holes around
Driving range has plenty of distance markers
Con: Not as well maintained as the other 9 holes around (half weed, half grass)
Slow players (20 yards at a time) in front holding up the course with no Marshall
Players in front and behind were smoking and I had the second hand smoke waiting in line to tee off
A nice but not so easy course
The trees have increased the difficulty of the course quite a lot. It requires very accurate shots from tee at some holes. Overall a very good course for fun and practice.
Great for a beginner course
Great course for beginners all the way to advanced players for a quick 9.
Hi jdiamond7,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We apologize for the footgolf being distracting. We try hard to make sure every customer is pleased and we're disappointed to hear we didn't meet your standards.
Despite the few flaws, we hope you will visit us again in the future!
