Course in dire need of overhaul. Fairways hard as asphalt and void of grass in many spots
Simple course. Bad conditions. For the money I'd rather play front 9 at Los Lagos - more of a challenge and way better condition.
Bad Experience
Normall this course is okay. Witht the discount through golfnow, it's okay. I would not pay full price to play this course. The last time we played, the holes were punched, but the flags were not put in the first 2 holes. The greens were terrible.
good course, bad pace
Went off on time, go to hole three, there were nine people waiting to tee off! Foursome, threesome, pair. While waiting, another pair came up. Need marshal to keep pace moving, get pairs to join each other. Marshal with beer cart hung out at first hole, before people got thirsty.
If I go again, it won't be middle of the day on the weekend. Course was well kept, but flat and easy. Good for beginners. Nice pro shop.
Very Fast Course, Great Driving Range, Expert Club Fitting
Diamond in the rough. This course is "local", easy to get to. Early play is super fast. Greens are in mint condition, traps are well maintained, tee boxes are moved and reseeded probably daily. The course is well watered, no hard pan. Fairways give the ball good lies. Yardages are well marked on sprinkler heads-no need for GPS-this course plays the way GOLF was intended to play. The rough is well defined and cut to a fair length, no lost balls in the rough, no gorilla grass. The driving range is double decker, open fairly late at night, too. Expert club fitting, video swing analysis. Pruneridge also has a nice Food & Beverage area with seating both indoors and outside, reasonable prices and nice selections.
To much Debri all around Course
Needs attention. cart paths are pot holes. Lot of broken branches all over Course.
Decent Value for decent 9 hole
Moderately challenging 9 hole with three par 4 holes. Decent course conditions but beware of a consistent slowdown in play if your start your round after 11:30ish
9 Hole Course
Easy walking course. No water hazards, well kept greens and bunkers. Rough is kept at a reasonable height. Small Pro Shop with re-gripping capability. Small coffee shop to grab a quick bite to eat or drink. Practice Putting green & driving range. Look forward to playing it again.
Expensive for what it is.
Most courses in the Silicon Valley are way overpriced. This 9hole course is no exception. Worth only playing if you get a "hot deal" off golfnow.
Corse itself is in good shape. Although not very challenging. It's good for a practice round.
Nice 9 hole track for fast round
Course is great shape. Greens putt true. No elevation change but par 3's have interesting approach angles.
It is a good chip and put course.
It was an inexpensive 2 plus hours to play nine holes on a Saturday afternoon. It's a good place to practice the short game and putting.
Very Simple and easy course for walking
This course has very good and simple features. Encouraging course.
Good value for money
Excellent course for beginners. I finished the course (9 holes) in 1.5 hrs. Mostly the grass was well maintained except for the 9th hole where there were a ton of practice balls that had come over from the driving range. Would have been nicer if all the practice balls would have been picked up the the attendants. Overall very convenient and I highly recommend this course.
Greens need care
The course is a great value using golf now. Compared to last year the greens are in poorer condition.
Nice course, except the greens
I've played this course every so often since I began playing golf 16 years ago. It's a fine course for a beginner and were currently using it to get my wife some experience on a smaller track before heading to full length course.
My knock on it this past week would have be the state of the greens. Lots of brown/yellow dead grass spots on every green and to length of grass is fairly inconsistent as well.
Don't look for to gage your putting on these greens. Hardly a true roll out there.
Best 9 hole for five bucks
Most courses are pretty beat up this time of year, but I don't think the folks who play here have an ounce of etiquette. Ball hops are on greens were regular due to no one fixing divots. And the fairways were littered with potholes and used sod from errant swings. I've played here when it was in a lot better shape. But for five dollars with the discount on golfnow I just blamed all those things on my bad play. Loljk
Great value with online deal
I took my parents to golf here over a holiday weekend. They do not golf frequently and the pace and difficulty was perfect for them. This relaxed, easier 9-hole course is good for a nice day out and is not usually too crowded or slow. Regular price is too high for me to justify on this course, but I strongly recommend the course when frequent online deals are available. Friendly service and convenient location.
Great Course, Poor Green Conditions due to aeration
We should expect these course conditions in Northern California in the Fall. Course aeration is expected during the months of October and November.
Good 9 hole executive course.
Pruneridge is a good little course to spend a couple of hours playing. Lots of shade, so even on hot days its comfortable. Some holes are pretty simple, but there are a couple with interesting features and small challenging greens. Watch for range balls coming from the sky while walking down #9!
Great value
This review has problems in some of the selection features would not select like course condition would only select pristine, and staff would only select perfect.
