Bennett Valley Golf Course

This course is in great shape. There are some bare spots in fairways (due to drought/water restrictions). But the greens are hard, fast and true. The bunkers are well taken care of (plenty of sand and well-groomed). I would give the course a higher rating overall, but there is currently no food/beverage at the course. I believe that will change in the next few weeks when the new management company re-opens the restaurant, bar and snack shop (as well as on-course cart service). Until then, be prepared to bring your own food/drink.

We had a tee time of 12:30. The group going out ahead of us had start at 12:20. They went and we were ready to tee off when 2 other names were called ahead of us. I went into pro shop and asked why we were not up next, and he said they were running behind. He blatantly lied and let 2 juniors go out ahead of us. We waited each hole until the back 9 when the junior golfers left. There also was a surprise city fee of $2 each.

Great course pretty wide open fairways and great greens.

Accuracy off the tee is rewarded. Hitting into the trees forces you to scramble to get up and down. Greens are in great shape. Expect >4hr rounds. No marshalls enforcing keeping pace. New clubhouse is still under construction and refreshments and food is very limited, which is somewhat disappointing given there is no cart offering drinks and food. However, would play this track again because rates offer high value..

It was a great day at the Bennett Valley Golf Course. The Staff was friendly and the course was in great shape. I am really glad yhe course is still open. One of my favorites around here.

We booked a foursome with a special rate. $188 for all 4 including cart. While 2 people were charged the correct rate, my husband’s friend who paid for my husband’s birthday, was charged $138 for 2 people! The staff completely ignored the online booked rate and waaaaay overcharged us. This has happened before at Valley of the Moon. You really have to hold the staff accountable to the rate you booked online.

I keep trying to play at Bennett Valley, hoping for a good round. The conditions are good, I like the course layout, but the pace of play is just horrible.

Either too many people or too many closely spaced together.

There is no marshall to move slower groups along, and this time was no exception - two groups in front of us was at least two holes behind, which just backed up all the groups behind them.

This group did NOT play the back 9, so the front took us 3 hours, the back 1.5. Overall, not terrible (still 4.5 hours is a long round), but 3 hours for 9 holes is not acceptable.

Most of the course is in good shape, but the sand needs work. It was very hard.

liked playing here. solid course that is well maintained. staff was cool and track itself was fun to play but they didn't have any food/drinks and didn't let us know at start of round we wouldn't be able to grab anything at the turn.
