I have always wanted to play this course. Now that it is open to the public, do yourself a favor and enjoy the beauty. Some trees, so don't get yourself in trouble.

Good Course. Flat so it is easy to walk. A couple of interesting holes and some bland holes. Greens/Fairways/Bunkers are in good shape. Will play it again.

Beautiful course, fairways are narrow,so it's a good challenge. The course is in excellent shape, the greens roll true and fast. The staff is wonderful and the food is good.

Nice clean, green course with greens that will challenge you

Course was in great shape, right fairways which made a bit challenging but will come back try play again. The only negative thing was the pin placement was tough on the course all were located onslanted areas but I'll stop complaining, I'll be back.

we play first 9 holes 2hs 10 min. went to club house
maybe 5 mins. the pro shop let at least 3 three somes
cut in front of us!!! WE (me a my partner & other two
quit after # 14. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT. I am very
sadden by this !!!!!! BOB DYER

We enjoyed the course. However the driving range is irons only. The putting greens were very slow and the course greens were very fast on the day that we played. Therefore it took a while to get the speed of the greens down.

The Price was vary good, The course was in good shape, The proshop people were vary friendly.

Pace of play was the only problem on this course took over 5hr to play

greens are fast and roll true with large brakes ... fairways are lined with plenty of trees which interfere when you are off the fairway.
sand traps next to greens a very high lips and difficult to stop on green.... good challenge

One of the nicer courses in the area. Only reason for the lower ratings is the customer service. I'm not a serious professional golfer, I golf to have a good time. With that being said it was tough to do, thanks to the customer service. Starting at the driving range, where I was shocked to learn you couldn't use your driver. Rather than a little "hey its irons only on the range" I had to hear this long spill about how long the range is and how there's houses here and there. The point was understood. However the experience didn't stop there actually continued midway through hole 1. One shot in the same guy is back yelling about the 90 degree rule. How you stay on the path and only cross at a 90 degree angle. (The 102 degree angle taken I guess was a big deal) from there it seemed as if the guy continued to "unintentionally" follow us looking for something to complain about (this equals not the funniest golf) at about hole 4 here he comes again to let us know that we were too close to the greens. We were behind the rope that was put up but in his eyes too close. To top it off the cart path was yards away and it was pooring rain. Again the approach by the representative wasn't friendly, rather more of a scolding rude one. Due to the customer service and pooring rain our foursome decided it wasn't worth it to continue playing and stopped after 8 holes.

As stated before the course is one of the nicer ones in the area, I would say if you're an advanced golfer that knows every golf rule in the book and don't mind spending a decent amount of money this course is for you. If you're like me and like to relax n play to have a good time I would probably recommend Swenson or Mickes grove. Elkhorn seems to target people that don't come dressed like a PGA professional if you know what I mean.

The course was in pretty good shape. They are doing a lot of work around 15 and 16, made course less enjoyable, but still good value

Always a pleasure to make the 20 mile jaunt to Stockton to play one of the best muni courses in the area. Friendly staff and a challenging course await you for your 4 hour tour of this beautiful course. You may not shoot your best score here, but you will feel challenged and satisfied.

The greens are always in great shape. The course is always being improved.

Fairways can be a bit of a challenge for those who have a hook or slice. The ball did roll nicely on the fairways I did hit.
Extremely friendly staff. Carts with a ball and club washer on the fender! The Bar Cart came around 4 times in 18 holes. Some places I've played your lucky to see it once. Overall good place to play. Staff made it a Great place to play!

I understand that during the winter play will be slowed, but booking groups back to back to back within 3 minutes of each other isn't right. We pay to enjoy the game, not to be hurried along by the marshal when there is no place to go. It's frustrating and not a pleasant experience. Being hurried just to wait some more behind at least three groups is silly.

This was a great course but since new owners it has dropped a little in quality! The green fees are lower so they don't have money to put back into course so it is a fair trade off. It will be the gem in the Valley again and still is good now. Little disappointed on change on #15 as looks like remove water from front side of green!

Very crowded conditions, but that was to be expected the day after Christmas. The pace was slow because of he population out there. Major construction going on which affects 15 and 16. Fairly easy course and overall appears well cared for. The amount of wear and tear to the greens was simply a factor of the amount of people playing that day. Overall it was a good course, easy to play and I would certainly play this one before going to the muni courses in Stockton.
