Greens snd tees a bit shaggy, but overall a great value

The course was in pretty good shape. Had some trouble rolling onto the green from the fringe, there was a ridge around the greens.

Enjoyed our time today.

I’m a 8 handicapper who plays every weekend and this was by far the worst pace of play I’ve experienced this year. Waiting a good 15 min on each shot or stacked up three deep on the tee. The “Ranger” is about as useful Astor’s on a bull. Save your money unless you enjoy sitting in 108 degree heat.

Greens were good. Fairways were spottty with no or little grass in spots. 2 biggest disappointments were no drinking water on the course. There was drinking water in the clubhouse.. No reason to not have drinking water on the course. 2nd disappointment was the kitchen was closed. We finished our round at 12::30 and were told the kitchen was closed. We noticed it was open and serving when we made the turn at 10:30.

The course itself was in really good condition. We played south-west. South has been aerated 2 to 3 weeks prior but was healing nicely and the greens rolled well. West course greens were pretty long as they had just opened up, so greens were slow but still rolled true. The only downfall is right now no cart girl(when I was there) and there is no water on the course.

This course is normally in excellent condition but the front nine holes on the south course needs immediate improvement. I was embarrassed for the owner’s name to be attached to a course that was in such poor condition!! I insist that he told what I said. He should not buy a course and have his name attached to it if he isn’t willing to pay the money to make it outstanding!! You can do better than this!!

I play here about once a week and although parts of the fairway are dried out you can tell the crew is hard at work getting it into summer shape. Driving range is all nice grass. The greens are great imo. I play as a single a lot and have no problem getting on at 7-8 am and finishing in around 3 hours, which is huge for beating the afternoon heat.

First time playing Palm Valley. Played the North and South courses. I enjoyed the layout with reasonable elevation changes and the desert encroaching a little but not too much. The course is on the verge of not being in very good shape; the fairways and the greens are beginning to dry out and the grass is sparse in some areas. They do show that they are doing summer maintenance on all three nines, so hopefully that will help. Overall I enjoyed the round and will return again.

Tee' d of as the 5th group in the morning. Pace of play went real well. Finished in 3 hours 45 minutes.

Course was showing signs of summer transition. A lot of the fairways were brown. They looked like they had been Vericut, but had not grown in yet.

I'm sure this course will be in great condition during the fall/winter season.

The Fairways are extremely wide, and hard to miss. There are very few obstacles to get in your way between tee and green.

Got a great rate from GolfNow. If not, I likely would have played elsewhere. But all in all, I enjoyed the course.

I’ll start with the positives. Great soft greens. They rolled really pure. Ok, I guess just one positive thing to say.

Negatives- fairways were garbage. I mean, really bad. Dead grass and no grass in most fairways. Great tee shots are rewarded with dirt.

But this is what really irks me. We were the second group to tee off for the day, however when we got to 10 there were four groups ahead of us!! How??? The group behind us quit on 12 and if it weren’t a Father’s Day round I would have too!! Excessive heat warning weekend and you are going to cram the course and make groups stand around waiting for shots to be hit??? Clearly greed over players safety, experience, etc. plenty of other courses with better tee time management. I stand by my title review “not worth it”

The course was in very good shape and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Pace of play was great and the course has some challenging holes.
