Junior National Golf Club
About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Course in good shape
First time playing this course. Right now during the summer, the course is in pretty good condition. The tee boxes were good and mostly leveled. The fairway has very few bare areas, but if you miss the fairways, there's dirt areas around the course outside of the fairways. The greens are in good shape. Not too many golfers out there today, so the pace was not an issue.
New and improved!
This course is showing a lot of promise. Greens are very nice. Fairways are a lot better no gopher holes finally!
Hidden Summer Gem?
Had a blast today. Perfect weather and course conditions for a holiday round. Hardly anyone on the course this afternoon and the course is in great shape overall. You can see the greens are recovering from a punch, but they were rolling pretty good overall.
Still needs work
I know the course is investing much needed $$. Has a ton of potential. Sand traps were legit. Greens and fairways are in great shape....but...... the lack of even simple, basic, temporary hole signage is an issue if you don't play here on the regular. The carts are stupidly overly sensitive and lock up, even a few times while on a cart path.
This is the Apache Creek of the west valley with better sand.
Jr.national
The course overall was pretty good. You just have to really keep an eye out of the whole. You are going to. There are many signs saying this way.But they're very confusing, and there's not one sign telling you what the actual hole is. I've never seen a course without a ball washer or a sign telling you what hole it is. It is nice to give you a small bucket of balls to warm up with and they have a driving range. There's really no amenities here, not even signs
Needs more signage.
There weren't any signs or any kind of markings to let you know what hole you were playing. They had a bunch of signs that say next hole with a pointer on it. But they pointed everywhere and was very
Not informative. They need to put up at least what hole you are playing? Maybe even a ball washer?I know that it's crazy or some water. But it is just open land with no signs and a bathroom here, and there.
Great course
Course was in fantastic shape with all the heat. The holes are a bit close to each other, but was still a great track...just have to be wary of crappy golfers hitting other fairways
Great staff and excellent course.
Staff couldn't have been better. Only issue was the day I golfed there were plenty of bad golfers who always hit onto other fairways. Other than that all good!
Great value
Typical desert course..Great value, greens are quick..still needs work, but for the cost, will play again. It wasn't busy today, flew around solo in 2 hours 10 minutes. Only 25 minutes from where Im staying downtown Phoenix.
GPS BOUNDRIES ARE HORRIBLE
The course is all good, except for the GPS boundaries for the carts. They're a bit extreme. I feel they should be REMOVED You don't really need them except maybe on the part 3s.
First and foremost last
A complete pasture. I definitely wouldn’t recommend or return.
Two thumbs up
Courses always in good condition, the staff is always helpful and friendly. However, the boundaries for the carts is a little bit ridiculous. I think they should have them removed except for the part 3s.
Staff is Awesome, great Links course
Sunday round with the boys. We've all been busy and haven't play or practiced. Still a great day on one of our favorite West valley courses.
Bunkers are great here, actually have sand in them .
