Nice round at Palm Valley
Nice layout. Overall good condition for the summer months in AZ. Restaurant staff can improve their customer service. We ended walking out and taking our business elsewhere.
Good
The course is fun and has a good layout, greens are firm and run well... It was just a little under watered and a lot of dead grass
the fairways need grass and the greens need help as well
Great little track
Fun course to go and get a round in, the course plays fairly easy with large landing areas outside of the fairway for those flyers.
Great deal on a really enjoyable course.
Booked this course last minute and was pleasantly surprised. We played as a twosome and maybe had to wait on 4 tee shots all day. Lots of draw holes, which I loved. I will play again when in the area.
Great Layout, Playable bunkers
Enjoyed our round, great course ! Much more interesting layout than other courses in this area. Played North/South.
A bit dried out in fairways but green were in good condition. Bunkers were playable -few to no rocks
Palm Valley
The fairways were pretty burnt up but the greens were fairly soft and markable. The staff are always super nice. I love the course layout. Not a boring hole on the course.
Nice layout
This course has a nice overall layout. Some thin areas in the fairways but they are working on them. Only bad part was the bunkers, which were mud. Greens in good shape and consistent. Rough was green and very playable. Overall I liked the course. Pace of play was 4:20 so slower than it could have been. Pro shop staff very nice and helpful.
Great round!
Course is in great shape, especially for the season. Greens were medium-fast & perfectly smooth. And, best of all, we played in less than 3.5 hours. A very enjoyable round.
Challenging long course (North/South)
Course was in great shape. Weather was great in AZ and playing partners were great. Downside..... Grill closed at 3pm. Bummer
Accuracy is a Big Plus at this Course
I play at a different course regularly and am a member at that course, but I had an out of town guest with a tournament going on at my course, so we decided to try out Palm Valley. Our front 9 was the North and the back 9 was the South, and we enjoyed the day very much.
We took advantage of the range before teeing off, and there was a very adequate chipping/pitching area as well. There is a nice food bar where you can get drinks and snacks for later, or you can sit down and unwind afterwards.
The course was in generally good condition, but if you aren’t used to playing from the dirt, you need to be a bit more accurate than I am. There were several places that required a rescue shot from hard dirt soil, with some sand, gravel and rocks thrown in for good measure. I liked the condition of the greens and found them to be just the right challenge to make things fun and interesting. You will want to play a yellow or colored ball on number 9 hole on the North course unless you can keep your slice under control, because there are quite a few range balls adjoining and even trickling onto the fairway, making it difficult to locate your ball in the crowd.
The personnel were all very professional and helpful and I’d definitely recommend this course. But what do I know?
Fill the water jugs
I already reviewed this course and recommend it for play. There were a few burned out spots in the fairway, but not bad considering the drought. When I played the temperature was over 90. They need to fill the water jugs on the course. I don’t think it’s reasonable to cite COVID concerns about water jugs while we are expected to share rakes and masks are recommended but not required. Fill the water jugs.
Great deal
Palm Valley is always in great condition and the staff is courteous and top notch.
Nice course with good amenities
I have played Palm Valley many times. I always enjoy it. I especially like the new West course.
