Palm Valley Golf Club - North/West

Course is in great shape and the pace of play was excellent. Finished the round in under 4 hours. Palm Valley is a great deal in winter/spring if you can get it for under $50.

This was a perfect day, the golf course was in very nice condition, the preparation was great and everything was there for a great afternoon of golf.....but it was difficult to get a rhythm going when there was a hold up at virtually every hole for a 4.5 plus hour round!!!!and it was getting dark so the golf groups to our rear must have needed lights to finish; as there was no real visible slow play I would have to say this was a case of too many golfers on the course at one time which is a management issue and should be recitfied...I will not be excited to find an afternoon tee time there until I hear there are some changes....

It was our first time playing the Palms course, having played the Lakes course for 3 years. My wife and I had a great time playing, not being rushed and having perfect weather. It was challenging just enough, playing the forward tee. Playing again this weekend.

The front nine was excruciatingly slow. A number of groups quit after nine which opened up the course. We played the back in an hour and 40 minutes and the round still took 4 hrs and 35 minutes. The ranger said there was a couple groups holding everyone up -- why do they wait until the course is backed up to fix the situation? Why not monitor it before it happens?

Very nice course. Nice greens. Rolled true and quick.

5 plus hours to play 1 round of golf. Just too many inexperienced players or too many PGA wannabe players, they should just play at the 4 hour pace. There's no Marshall to keep the pace up and management probably doesn't care because of the increase in snowbirds.

well maintained course; excellent pace on greens. friendly staff. even stray shots into desert areas left good opportunities for recovery.

Always impressed with condition of PV. Layout is descent but several holes look alike and no views to speak of.

Paid alot more for alot less. We are not great golfers but do appreciate a nice course. We will return . Already have a time for next week.

Course was in great shape, greens were fast. People that worked there were very nice. Booked another round for next Sunday.

This course is normally is good shape. 2018 is not different. It is worth the money if under $50.

Awesome weather and company. Didn't have to pair up with anyone else.

Tough 18th hole.

tee boxes were good, fairways good, wide open, lots of dirt if you spray the ball, and don;t stay on the fairway, bunkers could be softer, but if you test them before hitting the ball, you should be able to adapt to the condition, greens are good. paired up with two real, real nice younger guys, made the day real enjoyable, hope to see them again.

Course has excellent practice facility, club house and pro shop. Beverage cart was also excellent, along with the tee boxes, fairways and the greens. Had a great day. Some hole have some hidden desert area that intrude the fairway make sure you look at the hole design at the tee box.

Overall a very solid course that was in good shape and great value for the $.

Had a great round in perfect weather. The course was in great shape and the greens were good. The pace of play was very good, played as a twosome and only waited a short time on the last 2 holes. It was a fun round on a great course.

The staff member was friendly and polite when I checked in. My only issue with this course is the extremely poor pace of play. This is why golf is declining. Poor pace of play KILLS a round.

Apparently, there was few groups who teed off earlier in the day than me took over 3 hours to complete the front 9. If there had been a ranger there this would not have happened. After the 3rd hole I waited on every hole. At the 6th hole there was 3 groups waiting ahead of me on the tee box. It took nearly an hour to get to the 8th hole. At the 10th hole there was three groups ahead of me again and groups beginning to pile up behind me. This is where other groups started bailing out. One went back to play the front 9 again. A handicapped group who knew the course well jumped to the 16th hole because they couldn't wait any longer and one group left.

I think the pro shop sent someone out and had us play through the slow players as they had been warned earlier. So we rushed through three - four holes to get through these guys. The waiting and rushing through totally ruined my round. I could not enjoy this course at all. It looks like a very nice course, but I can't in good conscience recommend it due to the lack of a ranger and absolute dead pace of play. I gave 3 stars BECAUSE the staff was friendly on arrival and they did try to get us through after complaints were made to the pro shop. Otherwise I would have given one star.
