Beautiful Golf

It may not have been my best round of golf but it was the most relaxing round ever! The course is challenging with its tree-lined fairways. Water hazards and lakes are strategically placed and if you land in the rough, you’ll be lucky to get distance out of it because it is thick!

It was a great Experimental round for an amateur like myself. I would recommend this course to everyone!

Great day of golf

Had a great time golfing at Legends in Temeku. It was pretty empty so we had a chance to relax and play a no-rush round of golf. The bunkers were pretty hard since they removed most of the sand (due to no rakes because of safety measures taken due to the virus). The ROUGH is thick and at times a bit difficult to get out of. The greens are tiered and challenging. Enjoyed every bit of it and will be back!

Disappointed at best.

I tend not to review much of anything, as its not worth my time. In this case however, I drove an hr. each direction from SD, so if I can save a few fellow golfers the journey, I’ll do my best to assist.

First, The positives; GREAT staff (thanks Bill), solid pace of play (3:45), challenging layout, intricate greens.

Negatives; Poor to terrible course conditions (dry/dirt everywhere, uneven play from tee boxes and fairways, hit and miss with green conditions) and no GPS (which I am not adverse to, but with so many blind shots, water hazards, etc. it’s necessary given this layout).

I gave it a shot, but won’t waste my time again. Weather is just now starting to get hot, and they have had nearly 2 months to get the course together during quarantine, so it’s clear quality isn’t their main goal. The rate they are charging for rounds is clearly not going into course maitenance, so if you are coming from SD, stop 20 mins. prior and play Pala Mesa or even better, Golf Club of CA. You will thank me.

Tough Course, Great Pace of Play....

I/we enjoyed our round at Legends. The pace of play was great. We finished in about 3:40. The course itself was a little rough around the edges. In all fairness though golf had resumed a few days before we played, so that may have had something to do with the condition of the course. If greens fees would’ve been a little less or if the course would’ve been in a little better shape I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about the course. I’d play the course again though and would recommend it.

More effort needs to be put into maintaining this course

This course has a wonderful layout and has a ton of potential but it sure has deteriorated over the years. Most of it is burned out and brown (I understand to a degree w/ water restrictions), bunkers and rough are looking pretty ragged. Very little sand in most bunkers. Putting greens and tee boxes were good for the most part. Practice facilities are Good, I just wish they’d have an area to hit from the grass instead of the mats. Practice chipping green and bunker need major work. Friendly staff. New carts added in recent months with comfortable seats, club/ball wash, and ac adapter to charge devices. This would be a 4.5 star course if they could just dedicate more effort into the maintenance of the course but as of now I’ll give it a 3. I’ll continue to look for cheap twilight prices but would not pay full rate for this course right now.

Legends

Very friendly staff. Surprised fairways and rough wasn't greener due to a lot of rain. Greens were nice.

Poor condition

The staff were all super friendly and the facilities are clean. Everybody was polite and attentive. The course is in terrible condition the grass is long and spotty. The greens are slow and there are few distance markers and no GPS. There were no groups anywhere near us so I will definitely say they did a great job at spacing the groups out. But I won’t play here again unless this was just a result of the recent course closure due to the Covid 19 orders. Will keep my eye on future reviews...

Fun Course

Chose this course because it was open during COVID-19. They had rules to keep you safe which I respected. Challenging course with some doglegs and elevation changes. Drove from an hour away and it was worth it!

Top 5 worst I've played

This course is compared to the castle creek's, eagle crests and shorecliffs of the world. Terrible conditions and greens rolling at maybe a 4 on the stimp, it was like putting on a spongy carpet, terribly slow. Anyways, expected more especially since they're had time during the shut down to maybe atleast mow something. As for all the bad courses, cool layout but terribly, terribly maintained. Literally would even pay $20 to play here. It's bad

Needs love

This course needs love. Bunkers are a mess and are rock hard. The greens are very soft and have a true roll. Overall course has tons of weeds. I was expecting more because the break we have had in play time.

Wine Country Golf

Due to the season, the fairways are dormant and so you get a lot of roll if in the fairway, makes you feel good. The greens are true and very smooth on a fairly fast pace. The lunch was great but no milk, but who drinks milk. Wine Country is next door.

Good course, great potential.

With a few more touch ups around the course it could be in very good condition, the best in a long time.

Great layout!

This course did not disappoint. Definitely great value if you book online. Don’t let the yellow grass scare you, fairways are nice and greens are great. Free birthday round brought me if you join email list. Will be coming back though for sure!

Good course for the money

My girlfriend and I went to play The Legends Golf Club today, and we had a lot of fun!! The layout is tough and challenging, but very fun. The greens mostly rolled well, and that is big for a public golf course. The pace of play was really good surprisingly for a Sunday! The only cons I have is the bunkers are not well maintained, and the fairways need a lot of work! The course is very dry, and they need to maintain the grass better! But overall for $36, it was worth the money! The staff was also very friendly!
