About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Some disappointment
We’ve played Savannah Harbor several times in the past, and were somewhat disappointed this past round.
The staff was not as friendly as several Troon courses we have played in the Scottsdale area!
The greens were very bumpy and almost unputtable.
The fairways were in decent shape.
We were told AFTER the round that the greens were diseased, and were starting to come back. Maybe we’ll try playing again in a few weeks.

Solid Layout
Great location. Fun layout. Decent practice facility. Hoping to play the course again post green renovation, because the greens were awful. Given the lack of play and condition of the greens, it would be nice to see the fee’s adjusted accordingly. Enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

The fairways were in pretty decent shape, especially for being January, but like everyone has been saying the greens are in incredibly rough condition. I understand the course has overseeded them to improve before the spring/summer season, but the greens are almost unplayable in the current condition.

It's an awesome country club for a day type place .... But the greens are being reconstructed, and still pretty rough.

Good course and good value
We played on a somewhat cold but sunny Saturday in January. Course was in great shape for the winter. The greens were bumpy, but given that it is January, not too bad. Staff was great, course layout was fun, and pace of play was a bit slow at times. Fairways, rough and bunkers were well maintained. All in, a good day and we'll be back.

Rough greens
I was warned when I. Hacked in that the greens were bumpy, and this proved to ver very much the case. Overall, the course was in good shape.

Greens were in terrible condition, apparently in the process of renovation. Had we known, we probably would not have scheduled the round. We were not advised that the greens were under reconstruction

Boring
Stay away for a month or so. Greens are awful, looking like they’re on way back. Boring course, flat greens uninspired tee n approach shots. Nothing says $100 course
loved it
I unfortunatly only got to play 4 holes when it started to rain very hard, would have lover to play all 18 holes, I do not remember the date i got to play, November I think
Great Staff Bad Conditions
First I want to say I absolutely love the course, the staff, and over everything about the place. But as of late, since COVID, the course has gone downhill. A lot of things probably have played into this but the bread and butter of a golf course are the greens. When I last played they were absolutely horrible. I know work is planned to remedy them but if I am being completely honest, I will not spend my money to play there until they are fixed. I can't wait to see what it will look like once they are back in the shape that makes the course the best value for your money in Savannah.

Check the practice green BEFORE you pay!
I wanted to play a nice course. But I chose this course. Slow play. Greens were TERRIBLE. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. They ALL needed to be reseeded. Even the practice green. When you see the practice green, turn and run. Literally, RUN. I don't know who gives this place 4 stars. You must not golf much. I play MI, OH,IN,KY,NC and SC. So I know what I'm looking for. Putting is the most important part of the game. This is just a money grab.
