Disapointed
A previous review said no rangers, etc. I booked as a single and was paired up with 3 golfers near the pro shop. We drive over to the the 1st tee and they had a 4th golfer hiding over there who didn't pay? Now we were a five some. I made it 9 holes, then left at the turn because, frankly, we were on pace for a 6 hour round. Shame on you Blue Rock you used to be better than this. And your booking requirements are terrible! Pre-paying for 8-12 golfers is not a viable option.
Disappointed
This is my home course and I know it well through all weather and times of the year. It has always lacked consistency. Today was an example of poor condition. The course was rock hard, to the point where greens wouldn’t even show ball marks. Very unhappy with current condition. Played 4 holes, decided I’d rather not golf and will be going out of town to play my golf for the time being.
Too many terrible, hacking, slow players. Too many groups of singles and no organization from the pro shop. Saw three carts being towed back to the shop because they ran out of battery.
Step your game up Blue Rock, you have been mediocre for too long.

We try not to water the course during the winter months, there are times when it gets dry between rain storms. When it gets to a point, we always turn the water on and irrigate the course. We're also sorry that the pace of play during your round was slow. We are quite busy right now with lots of people enjoying this great game. Cart path only discount
Easily a 4 star overall rating but only giving 3 stars. I understand the car path only restriction due to the rain the day before I played to protect and preserve the fairways and importantly safety of the riders specially this is a hilly course but there should be a discount on the green or cart fee. I think a $10 dollar discount is sufficient and will go a long ways.

Very unfriendly staff at the pro shop they make me feel I’m just another minority around the corner, they make you wait for the last minute to give you your cart very racial atmosphere.

Great Value
Most courses are experiencing record levels of play due to COVID 19 , However course conditions have suffered. This is not the case Blue Rock Springs, Both courses are in excellent condition and have excellent pace of play. You can tell that the staff appreciates all of the golf customers ! Great Value. My only suggestion is to properly staff the restaurant, I would have ordered lunch but the line fir food was too long .

Blue Rock Springs GC East
Great to be playing this course after 2 years. Excellebt layout. Tee boxes, fairways n greens generally in OK/good condition. Challenging, long course with elevation changes and undulating greens. Would definitely play the course again.

Nice canyon and bay views
Played from the tips just under 6200 yards and found the course to play much longer based on uphill elevated greens and narrowish fairways that make you inclined to club down. If you're off target expect to have tricky sidehill lies. Very nice mountain golf with wonderful views and an interesting layout. Greens were quick and full of breaks and tiers. 90 degree cart rule seems to help keep the fairways in pretty good shape.
